I am a frequent traveler to Japan, for 2 weeks at a time, and do not feel the need to pay the high prices to stay at the fine hotels catering to those on expense accounts. I now enjoy searching out comfortable and inexpensive accommodations, which have the adding benefit of introducing me to unfamiliar sections of Tokyo, and sometimes... More

A nice and pleasant stay with great river view if you get the room with window. The apartment is a little old but all the necessities are made available. The host is very friendly, well-mannered, helpful and speaks very well English!! that cut down half the effort to learn about the neighbourhood and all the essential where-about Tokyo attractions. During... More

We stayed at Kurumi Mansion for our first week in Tokyo. It was an easy commute from Narita Airport and a 10 minute walk from 3 metro stations, particularly with the great directions provided for us. The owner was kind and helpful in orientating us to Tokyo, seeming to really want us to enjoy his city. Another perk was the... More

Value is key here. You don't get these rates for a stay in Tokyo so although the accom is basic, beds are ok, bathroom/shower/toilet area is tiny (if you're over 6 foot 2 you might struggle), the accommodation gives you a no frills stay in Tokyo. Wifi is reliable, washing machine and dryers do the job, the walk to subway or... More

Nice place to stay in Tokyo, is in a nice location next to the river and close by metro stations. The best part about this hotel is the owner. He is a very nice guy. Good English and was a very respectable and well mannered gentleman. Would stay here again if I returned to Tokyo.

We experienced a great time in Tokio while staying at Kurumi Weekly Mansion. Even, it is not a hotel in the classical meaning, but more like a hostel – means no breakfast, no room service, a little potpourri-like interior :-) – it is a really lovely place to stay. Not least, because of the building manager, who helped us, because... More

Kurumi Mansion is not a hotel but an apartment house. The rooms are large and inexpensive for Tokyo standards. Price, room size and location depend on the room category. Rooms of a higher category have a window overlooking the Sumida River. Only cash is accepted as payment and you have to pay at check-in. It is also possible to move... More

The hotel is located in an excellent area, you can find restaurants and shop in a 5 minutes walk and several metro station really near, however if you are using a JR Pass the nearest station (hatchobori) is between 15 to 20 min walk which represents a problem if you are carrying heavy luggage but if you are not, you... Rooms with small kitchenette facilities with small bathroom with shower. Clean and affordable in an expensive city like Tokyo. The best ones have a small balcony overlooking the river Sumida Gawa. The reception is on the 4th floor. Situated a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro station. Excellent value for money!
