We stayed here for 15 days and I don't regret it for a first time visit to Japan. It's close to the city center but it's mostly locals so it's not crowded. The staff were very accommodating and spoke English very well. I requested a room on the highest floor 5 months in advance and they granted my wish! They... More

We got our keys and went up to our room to find it hadn't been cleaned yet. We went down to get keys for another room and the keys didn't work for the door. Finally we were given a good room, although to be fair the front lady was very apologetic and overall there was nice service. The room itself... More

Dear Guests, First of all, thank you very much for staying at "Flexstay Inn Higashijujo" and please let us apologize once again for our misoperations. This "Flexstay Inn Higahijujo" was originally a short-term furnished rental apartment and has been changed as "Inn" recently. Therefore; construction of this building is still like as an apartment. This hotel is conveniently located on the same JR line as Akihabara and about 20minutes from Tokyo station. If you lug your luggage up the end of the station with stairs rather than the escalator, the station exit is less than a minutes walk away. The building is hard to miss as it's lime green. There are many cheap good... More

Dear Guests, First of all, thank you very much for staying at "Flexstay Inn Higashijujo". We are very happy to hear that you seem that you had a good time during your stay. There is a small kitchenette in every room, therefore; gusts can cook some light meal in the room. We provide some kitchen and table ware at the... More

Ok service. Not perhaps the happiest lobby of them all but things get done and had patience to explain matters thoroughly to a person with rather limited Japanese skills. Room was nice for the price. I'm more inclined towards tatami floors and futon so the bed was so so for me but no problems sleeping. The Train runs near so... More

Thank you for stay at Weekly Mansion Higashi-Jujo. The room is quite small and building facilites could be a little old. Therefore we’re afraid it seems to be inconvenient. We appreciate your favor regarding its location and our service. We are looking forward to seeing you again if you have a next opportunity. Flexstay Inn Higashi-Jujo Receptionist Ms. Seki More

Always a great time to visit Sakura in late March early April. Higashi Jujo gives easy access to many Tokyo stations and shinkansen trains to get around, and the local shops are wonderful and friendly

Thank you for using weekly mansion Higashijujo. There is this museum from the Higashi-Jujo Station south exit to around one minute, and there is the convenience store in front, too and has a favorable reception to. When I came to the trip in Japan, I wait to stay again by all means. Staff SEKI More

Weekly Mansion offers low-budget apartment hotels around Tokyo. The one in Higashi-jujo is probably the cheapest - rates start from 3000 yen per night, which is what a hostel usually charges for a bed in a dorm room. This is important to keep in mind, to keep expectations reasonable. The hotel has three buildings (P1, P2, P3) with different rates.... More

Thank you for using weekly mansion Higashijujo. I think the room by the track to be that the sound of the train was too loud. The room becomes only P3 now. Because there is a building on the hill than a track, it becomes livable. When I came to the trip in Japan, I wait to stay again by all... More

Staying in Akabane / Itabashi

Neighborhood Profile
Akabane / Itabashi
In Akabane and Itabashi, visitors can get a glimpse of the ordinary day-to-day life of Tokyo. On the east side of Akabane station, there are many traditional shopping districts and small izakayas, while on the west side, there’s a modern shopping mall. Itabashi is currently being developed as a residential area with a huge 1.1km long shopping street that extends from east to west. Rows of shops and izakayas target the down to earth everyday needs of locals. Both Akabane and Itabashi are notable for their easy access to the city center as well as their proximity to Ikebukuro.
