We just stayed at the Mandarin in Tokyo as a treat for a couple of days and it was just that - a very special experience. The service, the views, the attention to detail in the design are exceptional. I only wish the beautiful soaking tubs were available to the guests for more hours. They are only complimentary 6am -... We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo a couple of weeks ago. We travel a lot but I rarely write reviews. But this hotel was really fantastic and went above and beyond. Highlights included the concierge (absolutely outstanding, helped with countless great restaurant reservations including three start michelins, had nice printed maps and directions for... More

Tasteful hotel with great location. But children are not allowed in most of the restaurants in the hotel. The hotel is next to Mitsukoshi department store which has a wonderful food court. We got great sushi there for a few nights

The hotel service is perfect and supreme, and staffs are very friendly. The spa is wonderful with a great view. The only downside is the Chinese restaurant that does not have the comfortable sitting. I will be going back to this hotel whenever I visit Tokyo.

I stayed with MO Tokyo in May, adding one more MO to my fan collection. :) The staffs are super helpful and friendly. One of them even walked us out to show us how to navigate the city. The view from the hotel is lovely and the foods are delicious. I loved watching sunrise/night city lights with a view to... More

This was my first time visiting the stunning, sprawling city of Tokyo, and the Mandarin Oriental was a perfect place to stay for our six nights there. The hotel is located in one of the main business centers of Tokyo cluttered with restaurants and shops, but the most convenient part of its location is the placement of a Tokyo Metro... More

Lovely hotel in the center of Tokyo. Incredible views, I could not get enough of the views from my room, the lobby, and their restaurants. Also, the pillow bar is to die for. Selection of 9 different pillows. I did not want to leave.

This is the second time my husband and I have visited Tokyo and what a difference staying at Mandarin Oriental made! We loved the city before and now we are head over heels in love. This gorgeous and luxurious hotel is located in a beautiful central area, just above the Mitsukoshi-mae Station. Our beautiful room was located on the 35th... More

We stayed in Mandarin for five nights. The hotel was beautiful and centrally located. We had an amazing view overlooking Tokyo from the 35th floor and could see Mt. Fuji in the distance! The staff could not have been more attentive or accommodating! If you asked where something was, they would personally escort you there....even to the subway which was... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
