Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in December (3 rooms booked) Overall: Fantastic location, just 2 blocks from Ginza main street. But rooms could be improved greatly. Pros: Location, Check-in, Sizeable rooms Cons: Rooms are old and have cigarette smell, ionizer does not work well.

Small rooms, but well laid out. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Lots of places to eat and see just near the hotel. Terrible map of the area provided by the hotel! Rooms are too hot, no ability to make it cooler, the air con is a dummy controller.

My objective of searching for reasonable price hotel in Tokyo was Room Space because i hate to skip across my luggage just to go to the toilet. This hotel is the right choice for those who share my POV. It got the largest space at affordable price and it's on GINZA! I can say this because i did compare at... More

Stayed here overnight when we arrived in Tokyo on route to Takayama. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good. The downside was the room size and the double bed which was fairly small and not very comfortable. In fairness to the hotel we were attracted by their website and the very reasonable tariff for Tokyo. As the... More

Location is the key here. Service was basic. Rooms were very warm as we Approached End autumn. Heaters were turned on instead of aircons. We turned them off and had the staff open the windows for us. Rooms very very tight.

as often pictures look much better on the web site. Very tiny double bedroom but not really unusual in Tokyo. A/C was not working so the only way to get some cool air was to ask for the window ti be opened and then you get the noise coming from the street... Nickname of the hotel should be the "1000... We stayed at this hotel last year in a twin room which was tight but sufficed for 2 nights;this time we made the mistake of booking a double & we struggled to fit into this tiny space. I know rooms in Japan can be small but with 2 suitcases, one of which was cabin sized, the room felt very overcrowded.Having said... More

This hotels most attractive quality is definitely it's convenient location. We arrived from Haneda airport and took the Keikyu airport line straight to Higashi Ginza station. We exited the station at exit A8 and the hotel was literally a small block and a half away. The trip took roughly 25 min. The hotel is located very close to many other... More

The Monterey Ginza proved a good choice of hotel: very close to central Tokyo, its department stores and unaffordable brand shops, and an easy walk to Ginza station. The room was certainly small, as we had expected, but their fit-out like that of the hotel as a whole was stylish and modern, and housekeeping included provision of new pajamas daily!... More

I chose this hotel because we were staying in Tokyo a few days after a cruise. This hotel is 3 short blocks off the main Ginza, so it is very quiet,(there is construction accross the street but the noise was not a problem) yet close to all the shopping and subway station. You can walk to Tsukijii Fish Market and... More
