We had a pleasnt two night stay but were surprised with the compact size of the room compared to other hotels we had used whilst in Japan - however, we had heard that Ginza was not known for it's space vs price ratio but it needed to be seen to be believed. Had I written this review a few days... More

This hotel is well placed, it's only a 2-3 minute walk to the main Ginza shopping district, a 15 minute walk to Tokyo station & easy access to all the Metro lines. The staff are very helpful & pleasant, they speak good English too. Rooms are large by Tokyo standards & well equipped. A good location & a quality lowish... More

Can't fault this hotel. Good value, excellent service, friendly helpful staff. The location is very convenient....close to Ginza station, a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, department stores and designer shops. The room size is adequate for a short stay, comfortable beds and a well provisioned bathroom. The wifi worked well as did the TV. Breakfast in the restaurant was pleasant... More

The location of this hotel is perfect. There is a direct access from Ginza-Itchome subway and less than 10 minutes walking from JR Yurakucho station. I arrived before the check in time and the room was ready for early check in. The staff at the reception is very efficient too. The only issue I've found was noises from the room... More

We could only stay for 1 night at the Mercure Ginza. What a great Hotel! From checking to checking out the experience was great. The French Manager and his staff at the from desk not only presented well but were very friendly. My 3.5 year old daughter we treated like a princess, she received a small gift and candy, very... We stayed here for one night on the way to start a walking holiday. We booked it as a 3 star hotel and paid 3 star prices. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were fantastic, both at reception and in the dining room. They helped us book luggage transfers, taxi's to the train station and with ordering vegetarian food.... More

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. As an Accor Member we booked the hotel through the Accor Booking system. What a great find. It has been 16 years since my wife and I last visited Tokyo. The hotel was close to everything. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of heaps of attractions including... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The service was excellent on the previous occasion and even better this time. We spent 4 nights at the hotel. Obviously, the desk staff get asked the same questions regarding places to eat and transportation so they had prepared easy to read maps with this information for guests. The... More

When we booked this hotel via Expedia, we assumed our written requirements re one Queen bed & a rollaway would be understood. When we got to our room, we only had a Queen bed. But very quickly after explaining our requirements, they moved us to a twin room which suited well. Apparently, an entire Japanese family of 4 sleep in... More

A good hotel with a good location. Staff with a good attitude that makes you feel helped and attended in the middle of hostility of Japanese kind-of-xenophobic attitude. It is located in a fancy place. You could arrive from the airport by taking a bus that will leave you few blocks away (at Courtyard Marriott hotel). You need to be... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
