Small hotel but strategically located in Ginza. It's a 15min walk to Tsukiji for great sushi. 5min walk to the metro with lines that bring you directly to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa and Ueno. I really dreaded subway line changes in Tokyo so this was really great. The Ginza area also has some really good restaurants. Staff were excellent and so... More

Great hotel to base yourself for exploring Tokyo & Ginza areas, with one train station accessible from level B1 in the hotel and a another 10mins walk. The deluxe room is a good size for spending a week here & the restaurant menu had enough variation to enjoy eating in each night if you don't feel like going out again... More

We stayed at the Merure Tokyo Ginza for two insights.the staff were very helpful and booked restaurants for us. It is in. Good location close to the Ginza shopping area and the fish markets. Lots of good restaurants close by. Rooms are small but large compared to other hotels in Japan. Reasonable rates.

Stayed one night at this hotel in central Tokyo, Ginza district. The hotel is situated very close to the Tokyo station, only takes about 10-15 min to walk. It is also situated right over a subway station, so it is very easy to get around in the city from the hotel. the staff was very friendly and gave advice of... More

We spent one night here. Nice location. Lovely staff, so friendly and very helpful. Rooms a little larger than I expected and well appointed with good bathroom. My low star rating is due to the cost...Our room was €300 for the night but it wasn't worth that. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

Although only rated at three stars, the Mercure in Ginza isn't lacking in anything other than a swimming pool and gym. The buffet is fresh daily, and the rooms are well kept, with all the amenities you expect from an Accor Hotel. Importantly, it is within walking distance to the centre of Ginza and surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops.... More

This hotel is in Ginza which is a nicer "fancy" shopping district, which means the surrounding area is well taken care of. The hotel itself is easy to find thanks to signage at either end of it's street. The room was quite large for tokyo standards and I found I had plenty of room. The closet is small for two... More

Hotel is located at a silence district, just 5 mins from subway station and 10 mins from JR station on foot. Many small traditional restaurants and convenience store nearby. Hotel is a very narrow shape building, no prominent entrance and reception lobby on 2/F. Lobby is small, front desk staffs are nice, helpful and good English speaking. It is very... More

Right in Ginza a short walk to everything, this friendly, clean and pleasant hotel met all our group's needs, from newspapers in the morning to directions and advice whenever needed. You can take the elevator to the lower level and a short internal walk to the train line.

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
