Hotel is right in the middle of Ginza district. Shopping is really close by. Subway access is in basement of hotel or a 2 block walk to 3 intersecting lines. No need for taxi's,,,subway is very user friendly. Plenty of nearby places to eat. Hotel staff extremely polite and helpful.

This hotel is in a convenient position but when we booked we specified a room with a walk in shower not over the bath as we are older and find it difficult to climb into the bath and were there for five nights. When we checked in we were told they only had rooms with a bath. We should have... More

This was a nice surprise as right off the bat when we checked-in the clerk gave us tremendous amount of information on things to do and transportation. The room was nice, actually bigger than rooms we had had elsewhere in Asia. The hotel is directly linked to the subway and it makes it easy to visit various areas of the... More

This hotel lies in the district of Ginza and is more expensive. I enjoyed the room with a more modern feel to it. It is near Sony, Apple Store, Kabuki-za Theater, and museums as well. The breakfast was ok.

Even before we left home we were impressed by service from the Mercure Ginza in supplying local area map, Japanese taxi card and directions from hotel . On arrival Checkin was efficient and we were quickly in our room on seventh floor. Room was surprisingly good size given what we had heard about Japanese hotels and we had no issue... More

What we like most is the location. The hotel's location is perfect for our family trip this time. Since we come as big family with kids. Our main destinations are mainly for kids; Ueno Park, Disneyland and Toy park, Ginza. From hotel just walking distance to Toy park and 4-5 main department stores just around the corners. It's easy to take... More

More than we expect. As we are traveling for our first trip to Tokyo, we contact the Hotel staff for some information about the city, transportation and restaurant reservations. Perfectly positioned for seeing Tokyo and close to all the shops in Ginza. Rooms are adequate and clean with a nice sized bathroom. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very limited for western tastes.

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
