We moved from a hotel in the business district to this area in Ginza just to be close to the shopping. It may have a suitable location, but rooms are too small and we can't hardly move around. Towels, pajamas, slippers are of low quality and room has dirty walls and scratched floors. Pillows are of poor quality as well...Not... More

Given previous reviews, we were slightly apprehensive about coming to this hotel, but booked following a recommendation from a friend who lives in Tokyo. We were not disappointed … it was much better than we expected. Top tip …. Book a twin room … it gives you that extra space - even with a small wardrobe! Located within easy walking... More

Let’s start off on a positive note: the location is great, just around the corner of Ginza’s main shopping street. It’s clean, there’s free WiFi and it’s rather quiet. Inside the room you’ll find a small bed, a small desk, a small bathroom, a small place to hang a few shirts – and (small) pyjamas! Did I already mention the... More

Bottom line: very good Ginza location, clean and comfortable room, good service; but, for the tariff ($180/night including taxes) the room looked and felt tired out, behind the times, and almost shabby. Needs new paint and furniture!! Details: I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler in early April 2014 -- a popular time, at the height of Tokyo's... More

A shock is the expression we had as we entered the smallest hotel room I ever been into. It was supposed to be a double room and in as much as the bed, yes it was a small double bed. In either side of that bed we had a 'generous' 30 cm space in one and may be 40 cm... More

A quirky hotel with an old-world feel and décor that perhaps was designed to put you in mind of Paris in the fifties – there are Cocteau prints on the walls and faint strains of accordion music in the lobbies. Not hi-tech modernity but still oddly comforting for a European traveller in the middle of an unfamiliar culture. Yes, my... More

Rooms too small to open your suitcase, too hot, slow WiFi, breakfast not included, smelly rooms and rather run down. Only plus is the favorable rate and Ginza location. The Monterey Ginza is just around the corner and much better. However, newer hotels like Remm in Akihabara offer better comfort for almost the same price. Don't think I would stay... More

Stayed a couple of nights in August 2013. The location is excellent, around 15 minutes walk to Tokyo Station. The nearest Metro Station is about two minutes away. The room itself was small but quite comfortable. (although the pillows were a bit hard and small) The bathroom was small and rather basic but with a good water pressure in the... More

First off, if you're staying at the Hotel Monterey Lasoeur Ginza, make sure that you don't confuse this hotel with the Hotel Monterey. I didn't realize there was another hotel with such a similar name, so trying to ask for directions didn't turn out so well for me. This room was TINY. My wife and I stayed here, and being... More

This hotel is probably about half the price of most in Ginza. I stayed in a double room for single use for five days. It was tiny with only about 40cms on each side of the double bed. It did however have nearly everything you needed in a very compact space.Bed and linen very comfortable (pillows were Japanese style with... More
