Hotel Monterey Lasoeur Ginza is very conveniently located, close to the Tokyo Station, Yurakucho, Ginza, Higashi Ginza, and Kyobashi metros. Anywhere you turn, you have a convenient mode of transport! The hotel itself is quite compact and comfortable. Their lift setup is very quaint and charming - a clock indicated the floor outside the lift and a moving block inside.... More

I had already red that the rooms were small so was prepared. We kept the room organised and basically used it to sleep so it wasn't a problem. We had a standard room for 3 nights and enjoyed thre stay. Only complaint would be the pillows, however reception gave us more. Yes it's tiny, it's a bit naff, but the... More

Stayed for our first three nights in Japan. Good location - plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and a few minutes walk to Metro and train stations. On checkin, reception told us we'd get a slightly larger room since it was our honeymoon (we also got some little treats). The room was still really small by typical hotel standards... More

The first room, a double bed, was extremely narrow and cramp. We had to realign some furniture and assessories like hair dryer, files, baggage rack to make the space more comfortable and accessible. Our request for the change to a Twin beds unit was met after 3 days due to the overwhelming bookings. The second unit was acceptable but compare... More

We arrived at the hotel and everything was fine until they tried to charge us for a larger room. The rooms were tiny, we couldn't even place our suitcases on the floor. When we got to the room I asked this is the big room? can i see the standard. The hotel concierge showed us an absolute identical room trying... More

Arrived from Kyoto to Monterey Lasoeur and couldnt fit into the room, we had been travelling for nearly 5 weeks and just couldnt move. The staff were most helpful, arranged for us to have a twin bed room where we could put suitcases between the beds.........and all was well. Very good location in Ginza and not far from a Minus... I guess you get what you pay for. Very cheap, especially considering that the hotel is in Ginza. The room is very small, you won't even have decent space to put your suitcases. The bathroom door opens outwards, which makes it even harder to store stuff and get around in the limited space. Apart from the small size of room,... More

Had an excellent stay! Staff is super helpful, and picked up a package I had delivered. Initial room was smoky-smelling, and they transferred me to a non-smoking room. The room itself was fine, bed was nice and firm, I slept great while there.

Small mich Hotel. Staff are friendly. The location I thought was very good. Shopping street and other things worth seeing to reach. Subway stations nearby. The rooms are very small and the breakfast is the same every day. It tastes, but after two days is too much. It is possible in the main building at the breakfast buffet participate. It... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
