We arrived at the hotel and everything was fine until they tried to charge us for a larger room. The rooms were tiny, we couldn't even place our suitcases on the floor. When we got to the room I asked this is the big room? can i see the standard. The hotel concierge showed us an absolute identical room trying... More

Arrived from Kyoto to Monterey Lasoeur and couldnt fit into the room, we had been travelling for nearly 5 weeks and just couldnt move. The staff were most helpful, arranged for us to have a twin bed room where we could put suitcases between the beds.........and all was well. Very good location in Ginza and not far from a Minus... I guess you get what you pay for. Very cheap, especially considering that the hotel is in Ginza. The room is very small, you won't even have decent space to put your suitcases. The bathroom door opens outwards, which makes it even harder to store stuff and get around in the limited space. Apart from the small size of room,... More

Had an excellent stay! Staff is super helpful, and picked up a package I had delivered. Initial room was smoky-smelling, and they transferred me to a non-smoking room. The room itself was fine, bed was nice and firm, I slept great while there.

Small mich Hotel. Staff are friendly. The location I thought was very good. Shopping street and other things worth seeing to reach. Subway stations nearby. The rooms are very small and the breakfast is the same every day. It tastes, but after two days is too much. It is possible in the main building at the breakfast buffet participate. It... More

We always stay at Monterey hotels where possible. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very efficient. They are friendly and accepting. The lady that cleaned our room greeted us every morning and the reception staff allowed us to repack our bags on departure day! We will continue to stay at Monterey hotels.

Lovely little boutique hotel in Ginza, shopping capital of Tokyo. Quiet and very restful, with buckwheat pillows for a lovely sleep. This place is ideally situated for exploring all of Tokyo, with metro, train and bus stations all within easy walking distance. Perfect for enjoying shops, eating places and sights, a little unassuming gem

This hotel has just about everything you could wish for including pyjamas in the rooms. The thing it does lack is space both room size and storage. There were no drawers and the wardrobe was minute. We were there for 3 nights prior to joining a cruise ship and would have liked to have unpacked our dress clothes but there... More

A niche hotel favoured by travelling locals. Done up in "french motif" the rooms while smaller by western comparisons are beautifully maintained and complete in every way. So handy to all of Ginza, Tokyo station and many many attractions. Staff are exceptional and so ready to help make your stay and getting around easier. Arigatō gozaimasu and sayonara

This hotel has a great central location that makes it perfect for seeing all of Tokyo. There are 3 subway stations about 5 minutes walk away, and 10 minutes walk to the nearest JR station which is on the Yamanote line so is super convenient. Lots of great little restaurants nearby, a variety of convenience stores, and plenty of shopping... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
