Room very small. Need to step up to get into bathroom, which is quite weird. Staff at front counter can hardly speaks english although they are very2 helpful :-). Location wise very convenient- Near Tokyo station, only cost JPY 1180 to get fr Tokyo station to hotel. Can easily get a taxi fr the hotel. Tsukiji market is just 15 minutes... More

Like most APA properties this room was small. Very small. So small we had to close our suitcases and store them upright at the end of the bed. And it was EXPENSIVE (approx $1000 for three nights...!) The mattress is very firm - too firm for me. But it's in a good location - 1 stop from Tokyo station on... More

Ditto what the other travelers said about small rooms, etc... If you are only staying 1 or 2 nights, it's a good affordable option for Tokyo. The location is in a quiet, business residential neighborhood only a few blocks walk from the efficient Metro, which will get you anywhere. Amenities include: Clean, modern rooms, good, free Wifi connection, Flat Screen... More

Like all APA Hotels, rooms are extremely small, but excellently equipped. Came back for the last 3 nights of our Japan travel, after staying the first 3 nights, in particular because they kept a suitcase during our travel. Staffs knowledge of English is limited, but they are very much trying to help. Easy to find about 300 m from Hatchobori... More

Stayed there in May 2014, This Hotel is strategically located in the centre of Tokyo. Close to the subway, it is ideal to reach the fishmarket and many other attractions. The Hotel himself is quite nice, polite and friendly staff, well furnished. The only bad thing was that the rooms are quite small if you are staying 2 People in... More

Since my wife was pregnant and we are non-smokers, we explicitly booked a non-smoking room. When we entered the room there was a heavy smell of smoke, not only in the air but also in the sheets, cushions, carpets, closet etc. We went to the reception where we were told that a room change was not possible. Instead we should... More

Have no intention to stay in Hatchyobori, other than it locates very close to my HQ office (APA locates 3min from the Hatchyobori metro, and 20-30min from the Tokyo station). Clean and tidy room with free WiFi, although it is a bit tiny. But for a business trip, what else should I ask for other than a comfortable shower with... More

We were stuck in a snow-covered Tokyo, along with a load of stranded tourists, and were glad to get this room near Tokyo station. Staff were very helpful in looking up the location of Sushi-sei, recommended by a friend, and writing out its address for us to show the taxi driver. The room was impressively small even for Tokyo, but... More

My Japanese friend chose this hotel and we stayed for 2 nights in 2 single rooms. Compact room and tiled bathroom with shower over bath.Comfortable bed.No noise issues.Spotlessly clean. Our rate included a fairly basic Japanese breakfast, also toast and yoghurt. Staff's English was fair.Clientele is mainly Japanese. One young man at the front desk helpfully took me around the corner... More

I stayed here for 3 nights, and this was a great homebase for exploring Tokyo. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Hatchobori train station, which itself is 1 station away from Tokyo station. The top of the building with the APA sign can be seen as you exit the street from the subway. The room was very clean... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
