The rooms are tiny. But this being Japan, everything is efficiently organised, so the room lacks no amenities. We had one room for our three kids and it was a bit of a squeeze to fit all of them into one semi-double bed but we managed. Overall though, the Dormy Inn chain does not disappoint with its functional rooms, and... More

We stayed in Dormy Inn in July 2014. The location is superb - only one station away from Tokyo Station (central) by either subway or JR, and the nearest JR entrance is about 50 m away. The rooms are small but equipment with anything needed, i.e., sink, fridge, TV and small bathroom. There is Onsen with male and female area.... More

We got a standard room in dormy inn. The semi-double bed was a bit small but it was comfortable. The hotel has the smallest bathroom I have ever seen and the sink was above the toilet. However, the breakfast and free onsen was a major plus. There was a wide selection of food including japanese curry. The onsen had both... More

The hotel location is near Hatchobori staion (both JR and subway staion). It's just 5 minutes walk. The room is quite small, very clean and comfortable. There is a small living area in the Japanese style. Free-Wifi in room is quite slow. There is the onsen on the 2nd floor. All day coffee and tea service is on the 1st... More

I stayed here for 8 nights, travelling solo and for the first time in Tokyo, and Japan in general. I picked this hotel for the bang-for-buck that other hotels in the pricerange couldn't offer; Onsen (which was great!) and included breakfast (which was delicious), combined with a nice and quiet neighbourhood (for a big city, that is), and short walking... The Dormy Inn in Hatchobori appears to be an older building. The interior in the upper floors (where the rooms are) is drab and echo-y. The rooms are outdated. The double room was surprisingly large, although I heard the singles were very small (which is typical). The bathroom was also typically tiny, but it was in good shape. The real... More

I stayed here for 3 nights travelling solo. I had stayed at a Dormy Inn previously in Kurashki and had a good experience. I chose the hotel, supported by favourable Trip Advisor reviews, because it is on the Keiyo line for access to Disneyland and Tokyo station. It is easy to find from Hatchobori station,A1 exit. It is quite an old... More

The room is small. However, it's very cozy and made me very comfortable during the entire stay. Most recommended are the variety of their breakfast, the traditional Japanese food was very delicious, the warm and welcoming staff, hot spring bathing area and the late night free Ramen treat. The price was so reasonable. The location was so convenient. It's only... More

The Dormy Inn is a small Tokyo hotel primarily aimed at the Japanese market. The rooms are small (no drawers for clothes, small bathroom), the beds have hard and sometimes uncomfortable mattresses (my wife liked the bed). I hated the breakfast. The staff is friendly, but not very helpful, and their English is barely existent. But the baths are wonderful... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
