It was my first visit to Tokyo and it couldn't have started at a better place than this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous throughout our stay and helped us a lot in navigating though the landmarks in the city. The room is a great value for your money , and the neighborhood of ginza is simply fantastic.A... More

The Ginza Daiei was our first stay in Tokyo and it was a really nice experience. We were a group of 4 people, seperated into 2 double bed rooms. Both rooms were great - super spacious, comfortable and absolutely clean. 90% of the guests were Japanese and honestly it was great to be not surrounded by too many tourist groups... More

We had a great experience at this hotel. It is a great location! Typical Japanese hotel room.. very small, but nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location of this hotel for the price. It is near the city center with shopping, restaurants, and the subway. They also have a computer at the hotel where... More

Had a very comfortable, no hassle stay at this hotel. The room was clean and has AC, flat screen TV, hot drink facilities. The room is fairly compact – not much room to spread out suitcases. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The main attraction for this hotel is its location – 15 minute walking distance to Tsujiki-ji fish market,... More

We booked a standard double non smoking room and the room had all the amenities we needed. The room was very small compared to that of other countries but that's very normal in Japan, we got used to that thereafter. The hotel is more suitable if you are a traveler who's purpose is to go out and do some sightseeing... More

GENERAL: If you're in Tokyo, all you need is a place to crash. This is strictly a NO-FRILLS business hotel: old building, no lobby, no restaurant, etc yet unlike the Sheraton, this little, unassuming hotel provides free in-room Wifi! We booked a triple room which was a tight squeeze but we didn't mind. Booked directly with hotel for standard triple... More

Yes, it is old. But for the price, the location is pretty good. I wasn't going to pay that kind of high prices for a place in Ginza so this was a godsend. Slightly less than 10mins walk from the big dept stores of Ginza and Tsukiji fish market PLUS a smattering of small eateries and cafes near the hotel... More

I wanted to find a reasonably-priced twin room that is relatively close to Tokyo Station and is accessible to multiple Tokyo Metro lines. Hotel Ginza Daiei met those criteria, and then some! It's a very short walk to both Ginza and Higashi-Ginza metro stations, and just 3 blocks from the Ginza Mitsukoshi department store. Even better, it's a 10 minute... More

THis place is a one minute walk to the center of Ginza, close to 3 different subway lines and the Yamanote line. Go with the deluxe room, not much more and you get much nicer bed, huge TV and nicer bathroom. There is absolutely no view from the rooms but there is so much to do and see nearby, this... More

We stayed here 3 nights having booked the Designer Double Max room through Rakuten. Room size was 18 sq metres and cost us 13,000 yen per night. Room was very comfortable and well furnished. It's also quiet as Guests are encouraged to be as quiet as possible in consideration of each other. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
