I travel to Japan several times a year on business, and frequently spend a night or more in Tokyo. I always head for the Ginza Bellvue, the least expensive, nice hotel in the neighborhood. Located in a former alley that was recently upgraded to a street, with it's own name, Sukiya-dori, it used to be so obscure that taxi drivers... More

We stayed here for two nights, at $125.00 per night you would think there might be some room to move around in. This is our first experience in Japan so I don't really have an idea of the standard sizes. My husband is over six feet and I am 5.7, we were totally squished. It was really difficult to move... The hotel is very well located in Ginza, near JR Yurakucho station and Sony Building. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The rooms are small (Japan style) but they are quiet, clean and functional. The staff are attentive with a good english domain. The price is reasonable for Ginza. The breakfast is decent for the price.

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
