Stayed here for 10 nights. The room was clean, and quite big compared to other hotels in Tokyo. OK standard. Typical Tokyo-toilet with a lot of buttons in the bathroom:-) Very close to the subway, wich is just across the street. A good thing, because the neighborhood is boring. There is a Familymart nearby, but very little restaurants or other... More

This is a fairly small hotel by Tokyo standards and is located in a quiet location - mainly residential area and some embassies. Having said that the location is not problematic at all. The hotel is right next to the metro line making it easy to access the more touristic parts of Tokyo. The room itself was nice and clean... More

The room is small but functional. I was able to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring Tokyo, and planing the next days adventure. The bathroom is just as small, but the awesomely deep tubs make up for it. So kick back and relax. Plan your next day while soaking in the bath tub. Just a little heads... More

Very easily accessible. The hotel is just opposite the exit of the subway. The neighborhood is of great tranquility. The service is good. We don't want the corner rooms and the clerk helpfully arranged the rooms we want. We left our luggage at the hotel for a two-day trip to Kawaguchiko. When we returned to Hotel Hanzomon, they already put... More

Had room with 2 twin beds. The room was on small side but worked well for our needs and helped make us stay organized. Very clean and modern. The staff was very polite and helpful. While I don't think anyone I spoke to was fluent in English they knew enough to assist me effectively when needed. WiFi was available but... More

2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and it did not disappoint. Great location, great value and very clean. Will definitely be back. Close to transport and easy to get to most places you want to see.

I got a good deal on 2 rooms at the Hotel Monterey on Hotwire. I am so glad I got two rooms (for 3 people total) because they were teeny tiny and barely suitable for 2 people. If I had known I could have upgraded to a larger room for 1,000 yen at check-in I would have gladly done so!... More

The Monterey Hanzomon is conveniently located next to the Hanzomon metro stop making it very easy for visitors traveling with a lot of luggage. It is the third Monterey hotel in Tokyo that I have stayed in and I loved the interior decoration style of the Monterey Hanzomon. I also thought that the room size was generous for Tokyo standards,... More

Great location, literally across the road from Hanzomon subway station. Quiet area of Tokyo near to the Imperial palace precinct. Easy access to major attractions via subway. Room size was more than adequate, and the staff were friendly. Buffet breakfast is worth the extra money, but there are food outlets nearby if not your cup of tea. Overall a highly... More

First off, the best part of this hotel was probably the location. You can't get any more convenient that at a metro stop. The neighborhood was quiet but there was still plenty around for food options. We booked this somewhat last minute and for a decent room in Tokyo with shorter notice this price couldn't be beat. The rooms were... More

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighborhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
