I've stayed her many times (20+) and this has, hands down, the best hotel rooms of any major hotel on the planet. Large size room (would be a junior suite in a lot of hotels), great walk-in wardrobe, excellent bathroom and a high level of soundproofing (smart design includes an extra sliding door separating the bedroom from the hallway). Room... More

Wow hotel, very pricey but the rooms are high tech chic right down to the yr very own espresso machine. Staff are extremely respectful and always welcoming. Loved the Tokyo Joe cocktails and Japanese breakfast. Location great, 50 to 100 meters to train station, imperial gardens and ginza shopping district and the all important McDonalds for the kids general area... More

Back here for the last night of my week-long trip, and the third hotel I stayed at. Room was exactly as I remembered - very spacious and luxurious, with a great layout. Closing the large wooden sliding door would shut out the bedroom away from the bathroom and closet, and would help insulate noise. A very nice touch. Still liking... More

Beautiful hotel located in front of the Imperial Palace. Close walk to where the shopping is. Beautiful marble bathroom. Spacious interior with separate living and sleeping areas. Comfy beds. Only downside is no early check in whatsoever so had to wait till past 3pm to get to the room which I feel like is a little unaccommodating for the price... More

This was our second stay at The Peninsula, Tokyo. Staff were just as professional and the rooms just as beautiful. Housekeeping once again excel at providing impeccable and immaculate rooms that are so comfortable to stay in. Seriously, the housekeeping staff here are incredible. Our numerous requests made prior to arriving were all met including our request to have the... More

We recently vacationed in Japan and while in Tokyo stayed at the Peninsula. The room and the service was beyond reproach. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is the breakfast. Do yourself a treat, stay at the hotel but eat breakfast elsewhere - there are other places close by that offer more interesting and better food... More

I stayed at The Peninsula in early December 2014 - but haven't managed to write a review until now ! From the moment you arrive this is certainly a 5 star hotel - staff are engaging, professional and very helpful - the concierge was particularly helpful about a query with one of my shopping bills at the Ginza Apple store... This has to be one of my all time favorite hotels. It is modern built with noble materials. Lots of wood. Incredible Japanese breakfast. Moonlight lighting in the bathroom. The best was I came from Miami Basel and did not realize you were not allowed to lock your suitcase and when I went to take my bath in the moonlight... More

Convenient location near Imperial Palace. Large, understated and classy rooms with technologically modern facilities and amenities. Excellent service - they comply with your requests promptly and sympathetically. Main drawback is lobby is too small and somewhat unwelcoming. Dining options are limited to typical overpriced hotel restaurants, not gastronomic destinations.

One of the best hotels in Tokyo. Im lucky I work for a company that allows us stay at The Peninsula. It is truly luxurious and they make sure everything is thought of and provided for in this hotel. Located just near the Imperial Palace and a short walk to Ginza, this hotel is a great place to stay if... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
