I travel nearly every week for business so have stayed in many, many, 5 star hotels, but i have to say this is the BEST nights sleep I have had in any hotel anywhere. As an Architect the room to me may not be the most hip or trendy in terms of decor, but they have all of the requirements... More

Our room on the 22nd floor was huge, quiet, beautifully decorated, and totally comfortable, with a view of Ginza's lights. Every amenity imaginable was available. The reception staff was warm and helpful, even offering to make calls to try to recover a rain coat I probably left on the train. The hotel location is great, directly above a subway station,... Service level was excellent. Nothing missed as requested. From before check-in request until a late check out and even after check-out, I stay around and missed something, they are still serving me as a guest and nothing has missed. From my request for my friend to check in before my flight arrival and offered us a connecting room, this hotel... More

I've stayed at so many different hotels over the years (worldwide) but have never fallen so hard and so fast in love as I have with the Peninsula Hotel. 12 hours into my 1 week stay, I can easily say this is my new all-time favourite. The Hotel itself is stunningly beautiful. The rooms are very large and there are... More

We stayed for a week. it was so homely and welcoming, our room did not have a great view and i think for the money and lenght of our stay they could have put us in a nicer room. We loved the cafe downstairs and watching the pastry chefs everyday was a treat. Peter, the restaurant is so outdated and... More

My wife and I have recently paid a visit at Tokyo in early April. We have chosen Peninsula as I think I am quite kinda like a "Pen-friend". We flied overnight from Hong Kong to Tokyo and arrived in Tokyo in super morning. Although we requested for early check in (they do offer and guarantee late check out at 4pm),... More

A visit to Tokyo won't be complete without a stay at Peninsula. Every aspect of this renowned residence bears the signature of top notch hotel management. I shall economise on description of rooms and facilities, as other visitors might have given ample details. I must give special mention on the outstanding service of Masuda San and Takahashi San at Concierge... More

i am conflicted..the claridge's in london has always been my favorite hotel but the peninsula tokyo may just trump the claridge's. the service, the decor, the in room dining, the view, the spacious layout of the rooms, the location, the spa, the pool, i can go on and on...everything about this hotel is perfect. if i can live here, i... Can't beat the location in Ginza, with close proximity to the JR Yurakucho station and access to the Metro (Hibiya Sta) through the hotel itself. Staff is exceptional and the room was fantastic. Huge bedroom and sitting area, loads of space for baggage. Bathroom was terrific -- great shower and magnificent tub. Wifi in the room and throughout the hotel... More

Our family stayed at the Peninsula Tokyo for 3 nights. Typical Peninsula luxury...as to be expected. No surprises. Not as amazing as some of the other Peninsula hotels we have stayed in (the one in Shanghai is just over the top!). The breakfast menu (for the included breakfast) was a bit more limited than I would have hoped. Great location.... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
