situation just 2-3 mins walk from the JR Akihabara station, very accessible. A lot of restaurants open until mid night and there is a family mart just opposite the hotel. This hotel doesnt have any character and it is very basic, small but clean business hotel. for short business travel it is fine and you will have no problem having... More

I had previously stayed in an APA hotel so knew what to expect when I booked this one. Rooms are clean and well kitted out with toiletries and a comfy bed, and TV and wi-fi. People say the rooms are too small but I'd call them "fit for purpose"; as long as you haven't brought the kitchen sink with you... More

This was my second stay in an apa hotel in Japan, and I still think it is one of the better chains available. This chain offers the best price to service I've experienced The staff are lovely and considerate, and are more than willing to work through any language barriers with you. The rooms, whilst small by many western standards,... More

Positives: - Very clean - Excellent location - we were surprised when we exited the station that it was within eyesight, only required us to cross the street! We loved the location. If you’re a hardcore fan of Japanese manga and if you’re looking to immerse yourself into the Akihabara experience, this is the perfect location for you! For those... More

Being a little tired and overwhelmed by the city of Tokyo we were in shock by the room we got upon arriving. Went back to the reception and luckily could get another one. Still it was the smallest hotel room we ever stayed in but it was well equipped and the bed comfortable, Just across the road from the Akihabara... More

The hotel is a short walk to the stations but the rooms are really small....a very tight squeeze for two people. A far cry from the spacious rooms of Osaka but this is probably the average in Tokyo. The pillows are not the comfy kind but the rooms are clean.

This one of the better hotels in the APA chain called Super hotel. The location is fantastic you can easily reach many places of interest in “lower EDO”. Most places are one or two subway stations away, which is walkable if you prefer walking! Sumo wrestling two stations away, Asakusa two stations away, Tokyo main station two stations away, Ginza... Stayed here for 2 nights with 'Single Room' for attending seminar at where this hotel located. Only 5 min walking distance from 'Showadori Exit' of JR Akihabara. The room condition was excellent and well-cleaned and organized except the fact that 'normal' TV channels are NOT served as free of charge surprisingly. B'fast has 2 options either Japanese style or Western... More

For one night or two this hotel is just perfectly located. A very small room, but sufficient for one person. Two persons as a couple won't mind the narrow space either. It looks clean, but better don't look under the bed... Next to the hotel are subway station, loads of restaurants (see the mall across the street, 8th floor) and... More

A well located hotel just across the road from the Akihabara Station, it has the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. However, the room is cosy, well equipped with a very comfortable bed and it didn't bother us since we spent most of our time outside shopping. It is just a few minutes away from the famous... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
