For one night or two this hotel is just perfectly located. A very small room, but sufficient for one person. Two persons as a couple won't mind the narrow space either. It looks clean, but better don't look under the bed... Next to the hotel are subway station, loads of restaurants (see the mall across the street, 8th floor) and... More

A well located hotel just across the road from the Akihabara Station, it has the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. However, the room is cosy, well equipped with a very comfortable bed and it didn't bother us since we spent most of our time outside shopping. It is just a few minutes away from the famous... More

The room is very small but the location is perfect. Its close to the train station and akihabara center area. Never take the breakfast here as they only have two a la carte choices and the same food everyday.

Location is great, right next to Akihabara station which is a vibrant interesting area to stay, lots to do especially if you like manga. The rooms here are tiny though, I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than 1-2 nights. I was travelling solo and could just fit into the room - was fine for a quick stop though.

New and very comfortable hotel in the heat of Akihabara so brilliant if you are into electronics and crazy Tokyo nightlife. Also handy to get around Tokyo from as you have the Yamamoto line on your doorstep. Rooms are small but that's Tokyo so get over it. Clean, modern and a bit trendy. There is a railway line outside the... More

In Japan it is quite common to get a quite small hotel room, this is no exception. Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early October 2014. It is a typcially Japanese hotel, small but clean and tidy and it has everything you need for a few nights on a business trip. The best part I guess is its... More

One of the cheapest hotels I stayed at. Great location. Friendly staff. Nice room. If you are disappointed of the room size, maybe you should read the hotel information before you book. This is average for this kind of hotel

Service was good as you'd expect in Japan. The hotel itself is situated within electric city and is convenient for the nearby super-sized shopping malls. The room was just a bit larger than the double bed. It was well equipped and toiletries were provided. The room was also very clean. The down-side to this hotel is two-fold. There is only... More

Again ,rooms are generally small in Tokyo . There are lot of restaurants and convenience store near by . Staff is very helpful... More

The hotel is located in the heart of Akihabara, the electric shopping district of Tokyo. Very convenient to the JR trains and a subway line. However, it is in a side street and difficult to find. We had to ask two locals for direction, the second walked us to the place. The hotel gives the impression of a modernized "love... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
