This was my 4th time in Tokyo and 3rd in this hotel. Good connection by bus from/to Narita and Haneda airports. Rooms are of good size and comfortable. Staff extremely well prepared, gentle and efficient. Good breakfast and in the evening the restaurant offers an Italian menu, which can be convenient after having lunch and dinners eating Japanese food. The... More

This hotel has everything you need for your business or mid level leisure travel. About 5 min taxi ride from Tokyo station and 2 min walk to major train station for traveling around Tokyo. There are thousands of restaurants within walking distance as well. Room is ok and the service is also good. The down side is there is nothing... More

The Dai-Ichi Annex is a great value hotel in an area of Tokyo that is otherwise quite expensive. I rather felt like we were getting away with something by staying in this neighborhood for such a reasonable cost. The hotel is just on the edge of the swanky Ginza district and is an easy walk to the Shimbashi train station,... More

The location of this hotel is quite good, very near to the Shimbashi train station (JR Yamanote line) and about five minutes away to Mc Donalds. It is a stone throw to the Ginza shopping area and the Don Quijote shops and a one train stop going to the Tokyo Tower using the Mita line. Front Desk staff are quite... More

Actually stayed here July 2014, but the date doesn't allow me to go back that far. Comfortable stay in a nice location close to the station. The room was comfortable and big enough for both of us. My wife loved the massage chair in the room. Actually when we stayed here there was an earthquake early morning. But the hotel... More

If you do stay here, make sure you get a room that doesn't overlook the train tracks. The side away from the tracks is still kind of noisy, but better than the other side. I was shown one room that smelled strongly of disinfectant and was not laid out well; the second room was in better shape. 2400 Yen breakfast... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to Shimbashi station and one block away from the Ginza restaurant area. Rooms were clean and quiet, and comfortable. Free wifi. Staff did not speak much English, however, and the restaurant only served full breakfasts. If you wanted only coffee you had to wait until 10am. However, there is a Starbucks 3... More

Right near Shimbashi station and a 5 min walk to Ginza this hotel is centrally located. We were after the location but the small room and basic services did not justify the amount we paid for the 3 nights we stayed here (which was probably more expensive due to a national holiday in Japan that weekend). Would try staying elsewhere... More

Had to stay here as was on business and hotel booking has been done by our travel dept. would never stay if I had to pay my own money. Room was small like in Toyoko Inn (which is 2 stars), very basic, the only good thing in the room was massage-chair, but its instruction manual was in Japanese only. Breakfast... More

Location is great, just a 1min walk from Shimbashi station and the Shimbashi business district and a few minutes more walk to Ginza and Shiodome. Wi-fi is included and works well. Rooms are impeccably Japanese clean and also Japanese sized. This place ticks all the boxes for a decent business or couples stay, but isn't great value.

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
