This was an excellent hotel for a business trip: central location; easy access to transportation; good wi-fi connection; daily newspaper in English; English news channels on tv; and, a relatively large single room. The price was very good, too, especially considering its location within the business district. The staff was very helpful, and, made the stay most pleasant. I would... More

My first visit to Tokyo and my Japanese colleagues booked this excellent hotel nearby to the Ginza area. Very clean with helpful, polite staff. My room had a massage chair, which was most welcome after a fair bit of travelling. Excellent breakfast choice, both local and western foods.

This hotel is within walking distance to many of the central Tokyo must visit locations such as the imperial palace, Ginza, and even the fish markets if you are an active type. There are literally hundreds of small restaurants nearby.

Very close to everything. Train stations, parks, royal palace, restuarants and shopping are within walking distance. Helpful staff. Great inroom wifi. And good value but a little bit worn. It is my second stay in 25 years.

My daughter and I stayed in a room facing the railroad tracks. The sound of the trains didn't bother us so much but might be a problem for light sleepers. What we liked best about this hotel is its proximity to Ginza and their breakfast. We're fans of their croissants and pain au chocolat. We also liked the salmon and... More

Stayed at the 7th floor turn to the train tracks, and every morning i woke up before 7 am with the sound of many trains passing by. at night the same before falling asleep. the continental breakfast was just "ok", but they also give the choice to go to the next Dai-Ichi very closed by and there we have 2... Stayed for 8 days . Nice hotel, comfortable room, nice toto toilette. Beds are very comfortable, good accessories in the room. Breakfest is also very good. The staff will do everything for you. Localisation is great, train station not far, and nice shopping around.it was my 2nd stay. Will go back.

I had the pleassure to stay for more than 8 weeks at the Dai-Ichi Annex Hotel. (Dont mix it up with the 4-Star Dai-Ichi Hotel which is directly next to it). First, the location of the Hotel is very good in regards to the price they are asking for a stay. If you are in a rush you can make... More

The location is just superb. Shimbashi station (which is serviced by many major lines) is about 7 - 10 mins walk. Another smaller station, Uchisaiwaicho is about 7 mins walk away. For those who take train and have heavy luggage, take the exit near Toei Subway Asakusa line. There is an escalator that goes up. Ginza Exit is nearer to... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
