Been stayed here 3 times during my business trip. Best thing is the location. The station (Akasaka Mitsuke) is just across the hotel. It's interchange station, you can go to ginza or shibuya without changing line. There are many restaurants near to the station, takoyaki shop, electronic store: bic camera, even 24 shop: don quijote. As for the hotel itself,... More

The rooms are big enough for 3 of us with an extra bed set up. There is a 7-11 on the 1st floor of the hotel and the hotel is linked to a shopping centre. There is a electronic store opposite the hotel too. Although its snowing outside but i don't know why the room is so hot.. We have... More

Convenient hotel. Beds not the best however I love this part of Tokyo. The surrounding area is great to explore and its with easy walking distance of several sifferent Tokyo Metro lines so its open access to Tokyo from here.

As many other people have already expressed, the rooms are not very spacious, but they contain everything you need. I had a room with a queen size bed (I think) which was quite comfortable. The bathroom was clean and very functional. One of the best things about is the nice location being sort of in the middle of Tokyo. You... More

The hotel has direct bus service from haneda and narita airports in Tokyo. Also cross the street to take the Tokyo Metro on Akasaka-Mitsune station to get around the city. There is good shopping across the street as well. A bottle of Choya which is sold for 1200 yen in the airport is only 1101 after taxes here. The hotel... More

Stayed at the Akasaka Excel for 7 nights while in Tokyo for a conference and a visit to some friends. Our deluxe twin room was comfortable and quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. The room aircon didn't seem to work and for the first few nights we kept the window open, but it was very noisy. There was a stand... More

Well located in Chibuya, next to shops and restaurants, this hotel offers high quality service. The closest subway stop is just on the opposite side of the street. Rooms are small, but not smaller than in equivalent or even more expensive hotels, and the available space is optimised. Everything is perfectly clean and the bathroom remains comfortable despite its size.... More

We were upgraded to a larger room on a lady's only floor, which had an extra security door and complimentary toiletry gift pack. The room is very new and pleasant, with playful touches, and of course super clean. The hotel is located across the station and the airport shuttle bus departs from the front entrance, so it is extremely convenient.... More

I booked a set of rooms at the Akasaka Excel, a hotel I like and have stayed at several times before, and would stay again. It is a good hotel, good location near the metro. My issue with my most recent stay is with the arrangements between the hotel and Agoda - Agoda did not offer non-smoking rooms like they... More

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighborhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
