I have stayed 5 days at this hotel with my family. I booked famliy room for 4 persons but we have 5 beds ;) Hotel is in good location, less than 5 mins walk from Jimbocho station. There were several convenience stores around the hotel. Breakfasts were good enough for the price, toasts and coffee. Staffs were energetic and helpful.

The quality of this place is rather a hostel for me. If I booked this place knowing as a hostel, I would have been quite happy about this place. Expecting a hotel, a little let down especially because I didn't have an ensuite bathroom/shower (I let my boyfriend book this place, so it was also my fault for not being... More

Sakura hotel jimbocho was a genuinely pleasant experience for me. The atmosphere was great, the staff were always willing to help etc. The common area has an indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor area faces the tiny alley way street where people would be walking by and sometimes cars would go through. Grabbing a cold drink whilst sitting there facing... More

I was on a budget so this place was perfect. My room was clean and so were the facilities. I was on the first floor - just around the corner from the indoor cafe area - so you might find the noise a bit inconvenient, but I was pretty tired by the end of the day so I slept great.... More

It was the most expensive stay and the worst stay I had in a month travel in Japan. The hotel has terrible WiFi in the rooms. Only in the lounge is it acceptable. The location is not ideal, since it is more a metropolitain area of Tokyo. Several big parks and tokyo dome however are easy to access from here.... More

I'm smiling just thinking about this place. The room was small but the entire experience was endlessly fun! I was backpacking throughout Asia with my best friend and this was our last destination. We shared the semi-double room and it was SO fun to have this experience! The hotel gives you awesome robes to lounge about in which was great.... More

We went to Sakura hotel in jimbocho and it was really different from other hotels I've been to - the room is very small, it's slightly larger than a big car (or two) the toilet and shower is outside the room as well as the sink. I do believe it's a great place to stay for the price and the... More

Thank you very much for your stay at our hotel and comment. Although rooms are quite simple, comparing to other hotels' rooms, we believe it is also true that that makes our rate more reasonable especially for backpackers who want to stay longer without spending too much cost for accommodation. We consider ourselves that our hotel is located in the... More

It's located very close to the metro, convenience stores, and the city centre. The staff speaks English very well. The services are very good. Wi-Fi is usually very good but sometimes a bit slow or spotty. The showers aren't very big, but they do quite nicely.

My husband, 24-year old daughter and I stayed here in February of 2015. We stayed in a room for four having paid for the entire room. Meals were served downstairs, including a free simple breakfast. Staff was pleasant and friendly. I only had to wait once for a shower in our three nights there and then for only a few... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
