You can get an imperial experience at many hotels in the world. But this must be the cheapest, plus Japanese "omotenashi", hotel. Location is perfect for both business and tourism. Many Americans seem to like hotels in Shinjuku, but they cannot beet the Imperial Hotel in both quality and location. In addition, this hotel has a legacy that recently opened... More

Service was great, everyone smile from the security, housekeeping staffs, front desk and restaurant. Breakfast is the best compare to other hotels I had... More

On our first trip to Japan after the airport this was our first exposure to the country and the culture, and it was a very good one. The facility is awe inspiring, but the people make it a truly great stay. Very clean, well appointed room.

An old school grand hotel, a Tokyo landmark. Pros: high end standards, efficient and polite service, an abundance of in-house restaurants, great location near the imperial palace and Ginza. Cons: a bit too big, too crowded, and a bit too old-time in its design. For those seeking more fresh design please also consider the Palace Hotel.

Just a stone throw away from the imperial palace where I run in the morning it is also a walking distance from the fish market. I liked very much because all spaces are roomy and all the rooms are spacious. the staff... More

I have stayed at many hotels in Tokyo and the Imperial Hotel for more than 10 times. Until 1980's, this hotel had generally been regarded as one of the Top 3 Hotels in Tokyo as well as Okura Hotel and New Otani Hotel. Since then, many gorgeous hotels have been built in Tokyo. However, the Imperial Hotel has maintained its... More

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
