Great location if you want to visit the Imperial Gardens accross the street. Make sure they are open as they do close on Fridays and have private events that close the gardens for other visitors. Hotel room was quiet and service very good. Had a light lunch on the outside terrace which was pleasant in the January sun. We had... More

This was my first visit to Tokyo, and the Palace Hotel was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting cramped quarters in Tokyo, but the room was spacious and very well appointed, with a clean, lots of electrical outlets, a modern bathroom and a fantastic view of the Imperial Garden (with a nice balcony to boot). Public spaces are beautiful and... More

Tonight is my last night of my 5 nights stay at this hotel. At USD$600/per night, I struggled a little to rate it perfect. At this price range, I expect things to be very high standard. Lots of attention to details. A few small things bothered me a little. First, the sliding door between the bathroom and the bedroom have... More

Quality almost throughout. Extremely high service level. Fantastic location (centrally and near Tokyo Station as well as with Imperial Palace gardens just on other side of the road). Very easy acess to subway. Only flaw was the pianist in the bar who played an awful sounding type of lounge music.

The rooms are beautiful with wonderful views of the palace gardens. The balcony affords a nice perspective of the city skyline. The breakfasts were excellent. The spa was nice but not quite as luxurious as one would expect. The service was exceptional. Everyone is eager to help.

One of the grande dame which was redeveloped a few years back and the tradition is still alive and well. A grand lobby and a view of the palace to match. the rooms are generous in size and the gym is well equipped. The bar is small enough to be cozy which contrasts well with the usual big glitzy bars... The hotel was newly renovated so facility is really great. Nice pool and interior decor are immaculate. Room is quite spacious compared to normal Tokyo hotel room standard. Love the big bath tub that other five stars hotel cannot afford. After all space is really a luxury in dense city like Tokyo. A walk in the morning in the imperial... More

I like hotels with a sense of place, and waking up to a beautiful sunny Tokyo day overlooking the Imperial Palace was definitely a great way to start the trip.  Obviously it would not be fair to compare this to the fabulous Aman (pretty much next door and just awesome), but compared to the Pen, the Pen has bigger space... Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago.
