Convenient location right next to Tokyo station. If you like to run, the loop around the palace and Budokan are nearby, have great views and few stops/starts. The service is great Japanese service at Shangrila standards. The restaurant is amazing--best breakfast buffet I can remember-everything is well chosen and well prepared. My husband is a pastry connoisseur and ranks Shangrila... More

Very beautiful property with Nicolai Bergmann flowers all over the hotel with chandeliers. Stayed in horizon club deluxe room with Imperial Garden view room – equipped with state of the art in-room technological gadgets- I especially loved dual curtain control designed for day and night (one I also very loved in Shangri-La Island HK) Room amenities are great and impressive... We stayed recently on a quick trip before catching the train to Nagano. We arrived early and as our room was not available, we were offered an upgraded corner room that was available, for a little more. It was a reasonable price increase so we took it and checked it at 6 in the morning after an overnight flight. The... More

We were very excited to stay in this hotel because it was our wedding anniversary and it was our first time to experience Shangri-la Hotel Tokyo. We went there around 11am to check-in but the guy(forgot to get his name) front desk officer told us that check-in time is 3pm and there is no available room yet. So we told... More

I have been coming to Tokyo for years and know the Japanese options as well as the Western ones like the very: Four Seasons, Park Hyatt, Conrad, etc. First, this place is ideally located as it is close to the palace and closer still to Tokyo station. If you land at Narita (and God help you), the hotel is right... More

This will be My first choice in Tokyo! What do I love about this hotel? Let me see ... Everything works! And the hotel spells luxury. The room is large and luxurious! The bathroom is huge with separate WC, vanity area and bath area - the tub and shower areas are separate, imagine the space! Lovely lovely lovely! In addition,... More

I stayed two nights here during my most recent business trip to Tokyo. First of all, its proximity to Tokyo station makes it so accessible for business travelers. Few things that really make this hotel stand out :impeccable Japanese service ,luxurious and spacious room, easy access , great food , the list just goes on.. I will definitely come back... More

I chose the Shangri-La Tokyo for our family visit due to its proximity to the Tokyo station and the fact that the rooms were bigger than the Four Seasons. On the website, the hotel stated that they could accommodate two children in the room by stating this request on the booking form. Shortly after I received an email stating that... More

There is no other way to describe our stay than magnificent! The hotel is centrally located at Tokyo station. It is in the upper levels of the tower and so on arrival you are greeted by the concierge at either the basement (where there is the most spectacular entrance for a basement) or ground level. We arrived in by train... More

Staying in Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi

Neighborhood Profile
Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
