Great hotel for the price! It's very quiet, clean, & next door to the train and subway lines. There are also numerous restaurants in the area to suit your needs depending on what type of food you want. The ONLY drawback is that there is essentially zero nightlife in Akihabara, but that IS NOT the hotel's fault. I'll be staying... More

Remm is a business hotel, very chic and modern with the blue glow they have inside. The hotel is very clean, no complaints there. The rooms are small like any double bed hotel room. The shower is all glass and you and look at your bed while you shower. The rainfall shower head is a major plus. The hotel is... More

I spent 3 nights in this hotel. While the room was small, it was great for one person. The hotel was very clean, and the front desk staff I spoke to were able to speak good english and able to help me with any of my requests. My flight arrived early in the morning, and while check in is after... More

Hotel room was great very compact but had everything you need in the space. I imagine with 2 people in the room it maybe abit of a squeeze also the bathroom has a window looking into the room so privacy issues.

We had 2 amazing weeks in this hotel. It was really great ! We had a beautiful view on Akihabara nightlife/buildings/lights. Do not be surprise, the room is small but it's Japan and it is really cozy/cocoon. The only litlle bugger is... there's only 2 elevators and sometimes, it's really long to go up or down because it automatically stops... More

I will second previous postings that the rooms are on the small side. Very tight. No room for luggages. From what I heard, all hotel rooms in Japan are small. Here's the review.... Location - right off the JR Yamanote Line. From the airport, you can take the Keisei Liner to Nippori or Ueno and transfer to the Yamanote line... More

This place was a great business hotel right next to the train station and a couple of malls/eateries. They were happy to hold my luggage for a few hours before I checked in and they stuck me on a "women only" floor. Not that I needed to be, but I thought it was nice that they were considerate like that.... More

The remm is a good hotel. Reception staff were always friendly and doing their best to help. I always woke to late for breakfast so can't comment on that. The room, although small, has everything you need. The shower is good and there is even an electric massage chair! Not much space if you have a lot of luggage. The... More

Really slick and modern hotel right next to the train station. Even though the room is tiny, it's design is super sleek, and I had an awesome view of Akihabara electric town. I could see the buzz of trains and people directly below on the Akihabara station platform. The massage chair in the room was an awesome perk after taking... More

Nice hotel located just across from Akihabara Station. Rooms are small ... but very tidy and very clean. The staff are excellent, very attentive and very helpful with any inquiries. Would recommend for short stay.... Right near the heart of the electric town so good for shopping.

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
