Remm is a new hotel situated just above Akihabara station. In terms of location, it is hard to beat. It is situated right above the station, which is on the convenient JR Yamanote line. I stayed on the 'ladies floor' which included aroma therapy dispensers, free English language newspaper each morning, massage chair and cotton pyjamas. The room itself had... More

I stayed here for 10 days last year and couldn't have been happier! This hotel has the best location of any I've stayed in. It is literally on top of Akihabara station. All you have to do is turn left out of the door and 5mins later you can be on your way to anywhere in the country. The staff... More

The hotel is literally a 1-minute-walk from JR Akihabara Station. They made a nice job in soundproofing. In room 1517 I’ve heard no railway noise, or in fact barely any kind of noise at all. The only negative I could think of is the small size of the room. But this was something I knew at time of reservation and... More

This hotel is so conveniently located that I never took a taxi during the four nights I stayed here. I was simply able to get on the Marunouchi line or any other subway and go about the city from there faster than almost any other way (and for much less $$$). Several dining and entertainment places are available around the... More

The Remm is in a great location - right next to the Akihabara train station which makes it easy to get almost anywhere in Tokyo once you've learned how to use the rail system in Japan. Furthermore, there are a number of shops and places to eat located very close by. Unfortunately, the Remm doesn't have room service or any... More

This hotel is excellent hotel. It's great location, excellent room. If you have JR pass, It's very convenience to travel from this hotel. Gundam cafe is very near. Yodobashi store also. You can leave the luggage at this hotel. If you plan to visit another place for 2 or 3 night. For example. go to Mt. Fuji for one night,... More

This hotel has a great location, it's right in Akihabara. We enjoyed the proximity to the store Yodobashi. The service at this hotel was good. The employees were friendly and helpful. We stayed at 15 floor room with city views and we were very impressed. The views included Tokyo Skytree and our favourite store Yodobashi. The room was clean, comfortable... More

High quality hotel in the best location possible, still, many signs only in Japanese, terrible internet connection, weak aircon, small rooms and, too expensive deal... check inn not before 2 PM and do not expect any flexibility there...

The hotel is located at Akihabara station and very convenient however I did not like the bathroom as there was no privacy. You can see through the bathroom from the room. Ok there is curtain but there are small holes on it. This is design fault... If you are staying on your own. It's perfect !! But not with someone.

First things first, the double rooms are small, and there's very limited privacy. The bathroom is separated from the bed by a window, a blind and a roller door, so I wouldn't recommend staying here with someone you weren't close to or you'll be crossing new closeness frontiers. I stayed here with my partner and while the space is very... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
