Olympic inn kanda was the first hetel i visit during my Japan trip. Yet was one of the most impressive hotel of all i have vistied. Clean, not too small with everythings you may expect from a hotel. You can leave you luggage there vefore cheking in. The hotel is only 350 meters from Kanda station. And they did speak... More

Great location a short walk from the train station, very helpful and polite staff, clean and cosy with modern facilities, very comfy beds and linens. Bathroom was spotless and the shower was suited even to me at 192cm tall. Would recommend to anyone staying in Tokyo.

Thw hotel is located a 20 minutes walk from the tokyo train station, or 5 minutes from the kanda station. Its quitte close to Akihabara. However to visit this from any of this spots I would advise you to use a GPS, There are a lot of stores and restaurants around the hotel. Should you need any toiletries such as toothbrushers... Great, courteous and English-speaking front desk staff. They were very helpful and went extra mile to answer questions and to provide help. The hotel is in a good location - about 10 minutes from Akihabara and about 5 minutes from the Kanda Station on foot. There is 7-Eleven close by (3-minute walk)where we bought our meals and other needs. I... More

Small rooms in an old hotel but the rooms were clean. Bathroom was very small. Lobby underwhelming but friendly staff. Easy walk to Akihabara. We were only there for 1 night. Would stay again on another short stay. Price very reasonable.

I went to Japan from October 21-29 and stayed at this hotel. It's in a good location, since it's in a quiet area. I didn't hear much traffic while I was in the room, and when I left in the mornings, there wasn't much foot traffic in the area. It's easily within walking distance of a supermarket (Gyomu Super Kanda)... More

Great location just a few minutes’ walk from Kanda metro and JR Rail Stations, good size rooms with sofa, fridge, TV, A/C, tea/coffee facilities and Wi-Fi. Hotel is also very clean, quiet and close to lots of local restaurants. Good value for money I’d definitely go back.

Olympic-Inn Kanda is centrally located making it easy to travel to various sights and parks. I traveled with my husband and another couple ; and we managed to walk around quite a bit to Tokyo Station, Ueno, and even to Ginza. However, getting to Shibuya and Shinjuku requires taking the train as the locations are much further. But not to... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
