For 3 days tourism visit to Tokyo with my wife. The things I liked: -Close to Akihabara metro station and Ochanomizu JR station. -Very safe and centric neighborhood -Friendly staff (some of them not so proficient with English, but always willing to help with a very good attitude) -Modern and functional room -convenience stores nearby, specially "7 eleven" which came... We stayed here as many of the hotels were already booked out for Spring so this place had pretty good rates and it was also nearby Akihabara. Walking to either Akihabara Station or Ochanomizu Station only took around 5 mins or so, and from Ochan. Stn the express Chuo line to Shinjuku was very handy and the same line also... More

This is quite a convenient hotel and has amenities such as coin-op laundry and family mart just beside the lobby. The toiletries are available in the lobby so you can just pick up your shaver, sponge, toothbrush/toothpaste, cotton swabs just before you get in the lift. There are supermarket, restaurants and cafes just in front of the hotel, and nearby... More

This is a well clean, modern and well located hotel, being a short walk to Akihabara station. The twin room was a good size with a standard range of facilities. The on site breakfast has plenty of choice and represents good value. The hotel is close to electric town, which also provides plenty of eating houses. The hotel is very... More

I had a trip to tokyo in April 2014, choose this Asti convenience for my budget. Also it close to Akihabara just 5 min walk. I found that it has nearby sub and metro that easy to access to Shinjuku and others. Hotel room is clean as standard. People is nice.

Certainly more expensive than other Hotel Mystays across Japan, but still a very nice hotel for it's price. Good location. We initially used Akihabara station to access this hotel but Ochanomizu is closer. We had a twin room, it was small, but roomy enough to sleep in. You wouldn't want to spend all day inside. No complaints about the service.... More

I am not saying it's a perfect one. However, based on what I paid for my stay, I have got more back than I expected. Location cannot be better. Room was small but clean and well organized. Reception speaks reasonable amount of English. Having said that, knowing a bit of Japanese would definitely help :) Anyway, definitely recommend it!

For a single person this is a very comfortable and well located hotel, close to Akihabara station. Despite some language difficulties I had an excellent stay, the younger members of staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean, good laundry facilities, no lobby PC which could be an improvement.

My daughter and I stayed in a twin room for five days. Whilst really a business hotel, it provided a great base and was in a good location for seeing the city (by train and subway). For the price, it represented good value for money. However, don’t expect a wardrobe, cases on the bed as the rooms are small.

We stayed at Hotel Mystays on our first night in Japan before going snowboarding the following day. The hotel is located conveniently between Akihabara (electronics district) and Jimbocho (ski & snowboard outlets). We were able to buy some last minute accessories for the snow just a short walk away. We arrived late and walked with our luggage to hotel, it... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighborhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
