My husband and I stayed here one night during our recent trip to PERU. I was looking forward to this lodage - as I had read about it before we left for our trip. I was not disappointed. It is extremely difficult to get to the lodge in the first place; you really cannot see it from the main road.... More

This hotel was fabulous. Set in beautiful surrounds. We took advantage of the spa and massage and were not disappointed. It is well worth the time to get here and we wish we had some more time to enjoy it.

You can be deceive by the road to get there but after checking in it is another world, you have a choice of a buffet table or a la Carte for diner, I prefered a la Carte, typical Peruvian wich is excellent, hot springs are great. On the rest day take advantage of the spa it worth every penny, you... More

We stayed here one night in November 2014. The staff and facilities are outstanding. The hot springs were great and very relaxing. The views of the river and surrounding valley are amazing as well and the included breakfast was of a very high quality, including omlettes.

It is in a wonderful setting, overlooking the Colca river. As it is situated about 20 minutes drive up a rough track from the nearest village it's lucky that the food is excellent. The hot thermal baths by the riverside are very relaxing and my partner had a massage at the spa which she said was one of the best... More

We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful setting. The lodge is in the river valley, gorgeous scenery, llamas and alpacas grazing in their pastures across the river (you can walk over to see them and learn more about them in the interpretive centre). The hot springs were a lovely way to end a long day of... More

This secluded lodge is a peaceful get-away from the noise, bustle and hawkers of the cities. It was a pleasure to walk the grounds along the river, do some birding, see the llama/alpaca farm, enjoy the hot springs and the stars, and most of all to be in the outdoor environment of Peru. Our room was large and comfortable with... More

This place was recommended by a friend living in Arequipa as "the best". Locals also told us it was the best, and we don't disagree. Here's a breakdown: Pros: -GORGEOUS. The grounds, facilities, rooms, everything was so well-cared for. The room was huge and amazing, so comfortable. -The natural hot springs were beautiful and fun, very accessible -The alpaca and... This small lodge on the River Colca was an ideal base to see the Condors. The rooms are quite simply decorated but very comfortable and are set in well cared for grounds around the hotel. The hot spring baths were entertaining and not too crowded about 6pm when we went for a sundowner. Dinner was good and we wished we... More

We made a last minute change in our hotel reservations to stay at the Colca Lodge and what a great decision that was!! It is situated in a beautiful valley and contains inviting hot springs in which to bathe. Across the creek, beyond the pools is the Alpaca Ranch with llamas and alpacas. Food is delicious. Rooms are spacious and... More
