My husband and I previously stayed at this hotel over New Year’s in 2011/2012 and were blown away by the beautiful casitas and high level of service. In fact, it was the best hotel we had ever stayed in at that time. However, the hotel has since been sold by the Orient Express/Belmond group and is now under new management.... More

Pros & Cons Cons: -Far from the city of Chivay (closest town), and far from the closest public road. There is nothing around in 20 minutes driving -For a hotel that far away, the included activities are very poor -Food is kind of expensive if compared to fancy restaurants in Arequipa. Dishes and flavors are poor also but exquisite presented.... More

If you are planning a trip to see the condors take an extra day or two and stay at this beautiful property. All the casitas have great views, we stayed in the presidential suite with the outdoor tub and 2 fireplaces. Amazing room, one of the best in many years of travel. Wonderful staff, great tour guides for the condors,... More

My family thoroughly enjoyed the casitas. The way each casita is furnished was very satisfying. As soon as we walked in to our casita, we knew we were in a special treat. Everything in the room promised an escape from a conventional hotel stay. In addition to the tasteful furnishing, the room came with a plate of welcome fruits and... More

The rooms are like seperate small self contained houses with a generous sized lounge bedroom, a small dressing area and a large bathroom with a seperate bath and shower and a unique additional outside shower within a small walled garden that has various herbs growing to make your tea. There is a small patio with loungers that overlooks the grounds... More

This wonderful place is located down inside the Colka Canyon so you arrive in your coach and have to be transported from the top of the Canyon down to the resort in 9 seater buses. Once you get there however, you are transported into the lap of luxury where the staff do their utmost to make you feel welcome. The... More

Each casita is luxurious, with fireplace, own mini-pool with spring water (delicious hot water). huge bathrooms (one outdoor shower, one indoor shower and a bathtub), the view is also beautiful. This resort is in a lovely setting with luxurious casitas set amid landscaped gardens and ponds. With only about 22 units well spread out, the resort is quiet and feels very private. The rooms are enormous, (our unit, #20, had a foyer!) beautifully appointed and romantic, featuring beamed cathedral ceilings, four-poster beds, a sitting area in front of a fireplace,... More

This is a wonderful hotel - each unit is like a separate small house, with beautiful upscale furnishings and working fireplace, which the staff will set up for you on request. It is like being in your own small hacienda. Grounds are beautifully landscaped, and they grow local produce used in the residence on the grounds. Rooms have very large... More
