This is an amazing place, if you are going to stay one night in Colca to see the Condors, try this hotel. Ideal for couples (best)!. Each casita is luxurious, with fireplace, own mini-pool with spring water (delicious hot water). huge bathrooms (one outdoor shower, one indoor shower and a bathtub), the view is also beautiful. My grandson of 7... More

This resort is in a lovely setting with luxurious casitas set amid landscaped gardens and ponds. With only about 22 units well spread out, the resort is quiet and feels very private. The rooms are enormous, (our unit, #20, had a foyer!) beautifully appointed and romantic, featuring beamed cathedral ceilings, four-poster beds, a sitting area in front of a fireplace,... More

This is a wonderful hotel - each unit is like a separate small house, with beautiful upscale furnishings and working fireplace, which the staff will set up for you on request. It is like being in your own small hacienda. Grounds are beautifully landscaped, and they grow local produce used in the residence on the grounds. Rooms have very large... More

We had a lodge overlooking the valley... What a way to wake up with that view every morning. It was so peaceful & very private. Not overlooked by anyone(room 28) The under floor heating was welcome as it's very cold at night but there is also an open fire in the room if necessary. The breakfast however was disappointing ,... I think Las Casistas del Colca would be one of the best hotels i have stayed in. The service is great and the grounds are fantastic. Where else would you go and have horses and Alpaca walking around the grounds? My second day there i was quite sick and, all through the night, the paramedic visited all through the night.... More

This place is located near Colca Canyon about 15 minutes from Chivay. Even before arriving at the hotel the view from the transportation choose to arrive is spectacular. This place consists of several little houses in the middle of the Colca valley, each and every one with a nice pool with hot water just outside of the house and a... More

My review title is an intentional reference to stevieb708's, and I agree with all of its sentiments. The trouble with Casitas is that its price sets expectations far too high. It's a former Orient Express property, with gorgeous grounds and huge beautiful rooms, which was sold two years ago to another group. That group has kept the prices, but completely... More

Beautiful location, incredible settings and terrific large comfortable residences...absolutely spectacular. Hardworking and very friendly staff. However, don't be lured into the trap...way over priced and poorly managed. Four of us arrived New Year's Eve for a 3 day stay when we were told we were required to pay $100pp for the party that evening even if we didn't attend. We... More

The setting of Casitas del Colca is quite spectacular. There are twenty-plus casitas and our casita 21 was very spacious and well appointed. The hotel is situated on an altitude of 3'300m and the walk from the casita to the restaurant was a bit tough in the beginning but once adjusted to the altitude it was not a problem anymore....
