My 14-year-old daughter and I stayed here in June 2014. Although only one night (it really is the kind of place better for 2 or 3), it was a real treat. -HOT and FORCEFUL shower (if you know Peru, this can be rare) -Great toilet (again) -WARM and comfy beds -The owner/manager Elar is wonderful and will personally look after... This place was lovely! The rooms were very nice, the food was excellent and we could not have gotten better service from the owner. We had dinner and breakfast here, both of which were excellent, as noted above. Yanque is a lovely town and we enjoyed our time there. It's only a few minutes from Chivay but is a much... More

Stayed here for 1 night as part of a tour trough the colca canyon. Great stay. The rooms are amazing, a big bed, a heater, and a really clean bathroom with perhaps the best shower I had while in Peru. Good water pressure and very hot. The owner was also very friendly, spoke basis English, but enough to get by.... More

Elar and his wife are very hospitable. The premises are excellent, clean and the food is out of this planet. We dined at many places during our visit to Peru and Elar's wife is by far the best cook. You have a pay a reasonable amount for a 3 - course, authentic and delicious Peruvian dinner. The breakfast was also... More

Beautiful location on the edge of the Colca Canyon in a small, picturesque and unspoilt village. The accommodation is four very comfortable en-suite rooms with a sunny pleasant garden. The best thing about it was our wonderful host, Elar, who was so kind and helpful. He gave us lots of advice on walks in the area and arranged transport to... More

We stayed 3 nights here and would have loved to stay longer. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The room had a huge bed plus two singles on the mezzanine upstairs. Nice bathroom with hot showers morning and night. Breakfast was delightful. Dinner was extra but absolutely worth the 20 or so soles. We had alpaca and trout and it... More

Our stay at Miskiwasi was comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Besides serving breakfast each morning at whatever time we chose, Ttost and his wife prepared three course meals nightly if we wanted them. They served them in a quiet little dining room with candles and cloth napkins and stemmed wine glasses. His wife had been to chef school so the presentation... More

We stayed at Miskiwasi on a stopover between a tour of Colca Canyon and Puno. The rooms were great, and so were the showers. We had both dinner, 3 courses with two choices for each course, and an inculcated full breakfast. There were heaters in the rooms and my cousin and her friend also got extra blankets when they asked.

Miskiwasi has four (soon to be five) very pretty, extremely comfortable, quiet rooms, set in a lovely garden. The proprietor is a solicitous, attentive, lovely host. (And he's a local--a nice plus.) The beds are excellent, the shower hot, strong--and solar powered, to boot. Good breakfasts, and the (optional) dinners each night were excellent. Surely the best value and most... More

Thankfully, our proprieter showed up within 10 minutes to meet us. What a relief!!!!! What a joy to arrive at this place!!!!! our room was... More
