Stayed at the hotel with friends for 5 nights while mountainskiing in the area. Perfect location. Friendly staff. Perfect food. The Jostedal area is great for mountainskiing. Really want to come again in the summer for hiking.

We stayed one night in the Jostedal Hotel, and paid NOK $1070 during the peak season (August). I enjoyed our stay, I thought the Jostedal Hotel was one of the nicer places we stayed. (Because Norway is so incredibly expensive, we made reservations only budget accomodations, so this doesn't compare to expensive lodging you might find else wehre.) Here is... More

We stayed off-season and were the only tourists in the area. We were made very welcome and given a choice of rooms. Rooms are basic but clean. "Twin" means 2 mattresses/duvets pushed together so fine for a couple (as it seemed to in all the hotels we used) . There was a TV but no kettle but hot drinks are... More

We stayed here for two nights on a trip to see the Jostedal glaciers. The rooms are comfortable, the service very good and the included breakfast fantastic. The restaurant also offered some of the best value for money I've experience in Norway (which, admittedly, is not saying much).

The hotel is clean and comfortable. It is very suitable for people to use as a base for hiking/similar trips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not very easy to access by public transport....but nowhere outside the cities are!

The Jostedal Hotel is very close to the national park visitor center and the hiking trail to the base of the glacier. Our room had a balcony and a really nice view across a green field with a fast moving stream and snow covered mountains in the background. The hotel has a dining room for dinner and a buffet breakfast... More

The room was small but tastefully decorated. Our room was on second floor with no elevator so we just pulled overnight things from our larger suitcases and carried up small bags. Breakfast had a nice selection. Food available in the restaurant in the evening. We stayed here as it is convenient to being ready to hike on the Nigardsbreen (glacier)... More

We stayed two nights at the Jostedal Hotel in the 2 room apartment with our 2 kids. While the interior was very basic, the apartment was really spacious with a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms. Everything was clean, the staff was really friendly and it is situated in a very nice setting and located only 5 mins from the... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The owner, Laila was extremely friendly and helpful. She even went out of her way to get us some snow shoes so that we could hike to the glacier. She's also an amazing cook-the food in the restaurant was delicious and much needed after a long hike. Perfect location for a bit... More

Our family loved this place. Simple, but clean and felt authentic. The ladies who run it, wish I could remember their names, were incredibly helpful and friendly. It's right next to the River Pig white water rafting and a great base for trips to Nigardsbreen and Jostedalsbreen. In August, after an exhausting excursion up a glacier or a mountain, it... More
