My wife and I went to a wedding in Woodgreen in Hampshire and fell in love with the area. So we looked last minute for accommodation and came up with the Mallard cottage at Burgate Manor Farm that has three bedrooms and is fully equipped with all your home comforts. John and his wife own the farm and are very... More

I organised a large hen weekend and we had the Granary and Kingfisher barns. The Granary barn was beautiful and spacious with lots of bathrooms which is needed for a big group of girls. The barns were all extremely well equipped - John and Brenda really have thought of everything to make the stay easy. They were also extremely helpful... More

A large group of us rented the adjoining wonderfully kept cottages for the weekend and the experience was perfect from the hosts to the surroundings. Should the lush countryside not be enough for you, there's a wonderful indian restaurant close by and town is a short walk away. Highly recommended.

I have just returned from a two-night stay in the Granary, where 20 of us (2 stayed in the Surma Valley Inn & Lodge) visited for a 50th birthday celebration. The barn is just outside Fordingbridge and has an unbelievable amount of interior space. With two dishwashers and plenty of pots, pans, mugs, plates etc to accommodate such a mass... More

47 of us took the granary and 5 cottages to celebrate a significant birthday over a weekend in January 2015. The venue was fantastic, spacious and well equipped and with all of us being able to sit and eat together in the granary there was still space for a 4 piece band and dance floor. Brenda and John ensured everything... More

We have just had a fantastic weekend away at Burgate Manor Farm. There were 26 of us across 3 properties (Granary, appletrees and kingfisher). The Granary is separated from the other cottages and accommodated that many for a dinner party and dancing both nights. The games room is very fun! The owners are very helpful and relaxed. I would thoroughly... More

We (6 adults and 2 two year old children) stayed in the Mallard lodge, which was perfect for us. The central lounge/dining area/kitchen was perfect for us to gather and socialise, and for the kids to run around. There was a bathroom at one end of the property and a shower room at the other, so very convenient (no joke... More

This is the second time our extended family have gathered at this location for a particular occasion. We rented four cottages in all which gave individual families their own space while still being able to congregate together in the larger cottage. It is a beautiful setting on a working farm with wonderful walks next to the river Avon. With family... More

We had a great week staying at Burgate Manor Farm. Sad to see it is not a working farm anymore, but this at least provides a great holiday destination. With access to the very nearby River Avon, a great spot for the serious fisherman. The accommodation was superb, with everything provided from an eggcup to a Dishwasher, and all items... More

A lovely farm which is very conveniently located and yet still feels very private. Less than a mile away Fordingbridge itself provided enough supermarkets, pubs and takeaways to feed and water us throughout the week. Accommodation is well equipped and larger than we imagined (6 of us in 2 bed cottage was no issue) and the door-step walks were perfect.... More
