This was our second stay with Chrissy and Martin in their delightful Gardeners Cottage. Gourmet Breakfasts were cooked freshly each morning and nothing is too much trouble for Chrissy. The cottage is very private and is set amidst the beautiful gardens and pond. We will definitely stay at Kingfisher Retreat should we visit the UK in the future.

Thank you for your review , and thank you for returning to us again, it's a pleasure for us to have four happy relaxed and enthusiastic guests such as yourselves, so interesting to hear about your part of the world, and to hear the high speed ferrys that we use here are manufactured in your country, Tasmania. Fondest wishes The... More

We stayed over the Beaulie auto jumble weekend and it was perfect. Hosts Martyn and Chrissy were friendly and accommodating. The building and garden was beautiful. Comfy bed and plenty of seats around their amazing pond. Breakfast was lovely. We had a lovely stay and hopefully if we visit again we will be able to stay again.

Our stay at the Kingfisher Retreat was one of the highlights of our England trip. The beautifully maintained modern thatched farmhouse and lovely garden and pond offer the quintessential English ambience. The room in the lodge was private, spacious, and tastefully decorated. Hosts Martyn and Chrissy are friendly and informative, making it easy to linger over a delicious breakfast featuring homemade bread... More

Not much good comes out of Afghanistan but during a deployment there my husband was speaking to a colleague about trying to find a nice place for us to get away to when he returned home. His colleague told him about a wonderful B&B he had stayed at in the New Forest and gave my husband the details. We had... More

Yes, it is so nice to welcome you time and time again. Who'd of thought we were a topic of conversation in Affganistan. It's amazing how people do find us, as we have guests from Tasmania returned for Goodwood once again. So pleased you've tried and tested all the accommodation here now. It's always a pleasure to welcome you both... More

Stayed at numerous B&Bs before but this was simply the best. We had a marvellous relaxing holiday thanks to the warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings and wonderful breakfasts. We had 10 nights and were sad to leave. Chrissy provides homemade bread, homemade marmalade, homemade jam and even homemade muesli every morning - all of which are superb. The quality of the... More

It was very easy to treat you as visiting friends, you were lovely guests and very appreciative of everything we do. It's nice to know our efforts don't go unnoticed. I'm sure in the 10 days you stayed here with us you visited most places, but you may come another time if only for a chill out. More

5th visit. Every time just gets better. Standards continuously maintained and improved which is impressive as how do you improve perfection. Everything is better than you could ever wish it to be. House and grounds are beautiful and Chrissy and Martyn are wonderful hosts. Thank you to you both and here's looking forward to many more.
