This has been the worse holiday ever....someone in the lodge we were allocated....given another inferior lodge that the shower was falling off the wall a leaking toilet...that we were told was condensation.. a puddle running towards the door of the bathroom every morning , great when you have four children ,funny how the other toilet was fine.. hardly any cooking... We have been coming to Sandy Balls for the last 4 years in which we have stayed in ready tents. We have always booked for next year before we leave because it is a family friendly site. It is also good for couples and elderly people weather you choose to accommodated in a tent, caravan or motorhome. There are also... More

We have camped here on numerous occasions and really enjoyed it. We booked 4 days for the end of school holiday break - the weather was hideous (not anyone's fault) but because we were in a small tent had a gazebo for cooking etc - took advice and were told that because of awful weather we could put it up... I just don't know where to start! Sandy balls was absolutely awful. It all started badly when we were given the key to lodge 302 only to arrive at it and find a family already in it!! Lucky they were there or we would have just let ourselves in, not very secure! We went back to the main office, they... More

We have just returned from a lovely week away at sandy balls we had a touring pitch 47 in the north field (no dogs) and it was a lovely sunny spot, good size plot, with water, electric and drainage no complaints. Only downside for us was lots of tents one very large group a few plots down 5/6 tents with... More

We were a little worried after seeing the reviews.. Turned up Caravan was ready and very close to all amenities which was good (caravan 187) en suite toilet which was also a plus. When you go in to the caravan look under sofa you may find a fold away bed 1/2 way through the holiday if we had known this... More

Where to start. The good stuff, location in the New Forest as stunning as ever, camping pitches excellent, what I call V1.0 staff as good as ever, clubhouse/ pub has been revamped, if you camp it's good value. The bad stuff. New this year draconian enforcement of regulations, such as no gazebos even if they are small, you are not... More

What a shame....we've been here a few times before and even recommended it ( apologies to any of my friends who used it !) Sadly the owners have become very greedy and expanded the site without expanding the facilities. Lovely setting, dog friendly lodges a great idea and this accommodation was ok. Found some loom bands and a toy gun... More

We have just returned from a three night visit to Sandy Balls. I had read some of the reviews before we left so I was slightly concerned! However we loved our time with you. We stayed in lodge 45. It was a lovely spot. The view over the valley and the river was fab. Our lodge was nice and cosy.... More
