On being recommended we booked a week's stay in a static caravan. The booking process was okay, however we had to wait more than 30 minutes beyond the 3pm booking in time as the reception staff had not been given the all clear from the domestic cleaning staff. We were able to drive up and park by the caravan and... More

No mention anywhere of the fact that this site is now home to a large group of European workers predominantly men, who use the swimming pool as their bath at the end of their working day, we witnessed them going in to the pool all dirty and sweaty with no hit of a shower before hand......disgusting!!!! The site its self... More

Just spent a week in a caravan and had the best holiday ever - well worth the trip from Canada. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and always with a smile. Clean well kept site with great facilities without spoiling the natural forest setting. Food at the... More

We have been residents on site paying a small fortune to be treated like crap. We have seen massive changes none for the better, every time we visit we are served by kids who clearly don't want to be here. Food is over priced and poor quality. My opinion is try other places, shorefields is good. Plenty of places in... More

My review title says it all: we stayed in lodge 86 with a spectacular view over the Avon Valley, catching the sun on the balcony all afternoon, finishing with a wonderful sunset. Walks around the site with our small dog were perfect but it was out of school holiday time so was quite quiet. There are so many positives: the... More

We have just been to Sandy Balls and really enjoyed the stay. The location, the accommodation and the cleanliness was top notch. They also had a few activities for the little one which kept them engaged throughout our stay. The only thing they can improve on would probably be the entertainment in the evenings and the choice of food options... More

Only found that bar staff were helpful takeaway kiosk run by some very rude person, lodges full of cobwebs and beds were like sleeping on rocks, not just hard but lumpy, easily the worst beds ever. No entertainment!

We had a great time camping at sandy balls .we only booked one night and was greeted with a warm welcome. The facilities were tired, basic but clean. We had a great meal at the Italian restaurant, slightly overpriced but good quality and service. The only downside was we were woken around 1am until 4am by very loud music that was... More

Our second time over staying at Sandy Balls within 9months. This time we decided to stay in a Pine 2 Bed lodge with a view No 81.. Views from the veranda is amazing over looking the forest. Felt the actual lodge is tired looking and needed some updating as didn't warrant the money of £500 for 3 nights just for... More

My partner and I went here for a break a few years ago to go camping. We felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was, however, the campsite was in a nice location so that made it worthwhile. We camped on one of the tent pitches - however what wasn't made clear to start with is that their... More
