My wife and I stayed here six years ago and were absolutely delighted with the apartment and the town of Saint-Chinian. We travel all over the world on a very frequent basis and always use self contained apartments or cottages wherever we stay. This one was a gem back in 2009 and it is every bit as good in 2015,... I tried to make contact to book on 3 or 4 occasions, but received zero response. I am familiar with st Chinian and was attracted by the proxiity to the excellent wine shop and the opportunity to dine "en famille". Maybe next time.

This is a lovely apartment right in the centre of St Chinian situated (most conveniently) within a stone's throw of a lovely wine shop. It was spotlessly clean and had everything one could need. The owner dropped by to say hello and make sure all was OK, which was nice. We had some car trouble and needed to amend our... More

We stayed for 9 nights in “ Les Tournesols” apartment. One of the best equipped places we have found in our travels around France. Everything one would need as well as a welcoming bottle of rose in the fridge! The location is very central to all the local amenities. Within 100 metres you have a boulangerie , restaurants, bank, post... More

We booked this apartment as a last minute holiday. We arrived in the early evening and found a parking spot, which we used all week, right outside the door. They key was easily accessible as per our printed instructions from Jason and Elise, the owners. On entering "Les Tournesols" we immediately felt at home and were amazed at the high... More

We stayed for two weeks, driving down from Calais stopping at Clermont Ferrand on the way down, and Orleans on the way home. Both places worth visiting. It would be equally easy to get to St Chinian in a hire car from Montpellier, Carcassonne, Narbonne or Perpignon airports all of which are just an hour's drive away. The apartment was... More

After many hours researching accommodation options in Languedoc from our home in Australia, we eventually opted for Maison de la Place and crossed our fingers. We need not have worried. Within one minute of our arrival we knew we'd hit the jackpot. If you're looking for an atmospheric Gallic experience in a rural French village but unwilling to give up... More

We spent 4 wonderful days staying in the first floor apartment 'Les Tournesols'. Having previously stayed in other self catering accommodation this by far exceeded all our expectations. The apartments are well located in the village square with a twice weekly market, boulangeries, boucheries, supermarket, bicycle hire, banks, post office, pharmacy, newsagent, outdoor swimming pool (open from June), tennis and...
