Superb stay with Karl and Josette in their beautiful renovated 18th c farm house. Prix fixe dinner (wine and aperitif incl) was delightful and very typical French with a duck breast, celeriac purée, creamed spinach, all very light and fresh. We started with a kir on the patio by the duck pond. Nice Malbec with dinner. 25€. Breakfast with fresh... More

Travelling south from the UK through France can be such a pleasure - but overnight lodgings are often the key to a good holiday. This was our first visit to the Ferme du Genievre and we were embarrassed to be delayed by traffic at a police road block. We had booked an evening meal and were expected well before seven... More

After 2 weeks camping, we stayed at Ferme du Genievre on our way back from the Dordogne. Karl and Josette are such lovely hosts, and the dinner was amazing. I can't recommend it enough. The renovation of the farm has been done to such high quality, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very sociable, as everyone... More

We choose the farm as a stopover on route to the South West of France. This is a great place to stay. You are made to feel really at home from the time you arrive. The rooms are simple and clean, we had a view over the pond and farm fields. The host meal is a must, as Karl is... More

My wife and I stayed at this delightful location and were impressed with the high quality of our accommodation and particularly, the way that the owners made us feel so welcome. The location is tranquil with farm animals, spacious well maintained grounds and clean country air. It is close enough to major attractions yet far enough away to get the... More

The food was great as well as the breakfast. They really cared for us and our little girl who is 3. It is also an... More

am writing because I came across the most recent review today when I was advertising the Ferme du Genievre to my friends. And I have to say that I cannot disagree more with the person who wrote that terrible review. We stayed there in Jujy 2011 with our three children (10, 8, and 4) and were greated and treated with... We had booked to stay for one night with meals for ourselves and our two young children. I specified the ages of my children (2 and 4) in my email but was horrified by the attitude of the owner who was rude to both ourselves and our children, telling us that we needed to 'control' them despite them being perfectly... We opened our bed & breakfast and table d'hôte one year ago. We welcomed many children and their parents there. We took a great pleasure of dedicating our time to make them discover the farm, its animals and also our table. We welcomed these two moms with their children with so much pleasure and dedication as our other guests. We... More
