unfortunate incident where we requested for 5 non-smoking rooms and it turned out disappointing that we were all given nice rooms on the same floor BUT smelled of cigarettes smoke when the doors to the room was opened !!! after a big frustrating conversation they were only able to changed one room to a non-smoking one. but mood was already... Stayed for a night in a room with private outdoor onsen. The room is tastefully furnished and very spacious with a dining and sofa area. There is beautiful view of the river from the balcony. Room comes with access to the Premium lounge, which is also very nicely done up. Buffet dinner has a very good spread. We rented bicycles... More

It's probably the best hotel in the area. But, I found the facility such as the onsen public bath to be a bit outdated and old. The room condition was good. We stayed in western bedrooms. And there's a balcony facing the River. Excellent view. You can view the sunset sitting in the chair in the balcony. bathroom is very... More

We are currently staying in this amazing hotel. They have a beautiful riverside scenery. It was a beautiful blend of traditional and international class hotel. With wifi connection in each room. We had a heartiful buffet dinner and it is seriously the yummiest japanese buffet ever. You get to cook your own kamameshi too. They also have 2 levels of... More

We chose this hotel with high expectations as the hotel pictures in internet were all very nice but we ended quite disappointed. We were given a western room on 4th floor. The room was quite spacious and there were coffee machine, CD player and musical CDs provided. The room also had a good view of the bridge and river. But... More

The rooms with private onsen are amazing. Spacious and comfortable and your own private outdoor hot spring bath facing the river. Dinner service was excellent. The food quality was wonderful but above all the quality of service provided by the staff is impeccable. The way the dinner service staff painstakingly explained each dish that is delicately prepared by the chef... More

For my first visit to Tokachigawa Onsen, I have chosen to stay at Daiichi hotel because of the recommenation on jalan. I was attracted by the price of accomodating at its room with private onsen in Toyo-tei, though rooms in Hosyu-tei seemed even more attractive, and this room with private onsen became the accomodation I missed most during my whole... I stayed at the Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel for one night on the 5th Nov 2014 as part of a inspection tour organised by the Hokkaido Tourism Board. Check-in was a breeze as they have already checked us in and put the room keys in an envelope with all the details eg wifi password etc etc. Oh, WIFI is free... More

The staff there were very friendly and helpful. There was some smoking smell in the room, thus, I requested to change room. Even though it was troublesome for the one and only hotel staff there, he still helped my family and I carry our luggage bags and belongings there and also helped to spray the room such that there won't... We stayed here for one night en route from Poroto/Kiritappu to Daisetsuzan National Park. Overall, the experience is best described as awkward. The staff were trying very hard to be helpful, but it was as if they learned how to treat guests by watching movies and tv shows. Check-in took forever and they obsess with giving guests a whirlwind tour... More
