Family of four stayed for 2 nights in jr suite on third floor. Incredible views, great location. After having stayed in San Sebastian's action packed Old Town for a week, this was a great retreat. A couple of minutes walking distances to beaches and even less to the major restaurants. The front desk booked a dinner at Kaia Kaipe, which... More

Stayed there for two nights during our honeymoon in July 2014. Old building with a very modern renovation. Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, nice city. We walked 3 km along the coast to the beach at Zarautz. There is also a bus that goes along the coast every hour. Lots of restaurants in town for grilled fish.

Fabulous little family-owned hotel in a gorgeous village. Friendly, comfortable and good value. Room was lovely; lounge area and terrace delightful. They did make a mistake with our booking, which meant we only stayed one night not three, but their apology was so heartfelt and genuine that I wouldn't not recommend the place - it really is nice. Surprised by... More

I loved this hotel!!! Our ocean view was amazing. I never got tired of looking at it. My one complaint. At times it was hard to get up and leave the room because I was hypnotized by the view. But the town is lovely and the restaurants are delicious and it is all a step outside the door. There's a... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in July. We were originally planning to spend time in San Sebastián, but chose Getaria and the Hotel Saiaz instead. Best decision I could have made. Getaria is a charming town and the hotel was lovely. We had a room overlooking the street (we booked late so no ocean view room... More

Thick stone walls, beautiful antique furnishings and views across the bay and out to sea. And just so comfortable. You almost feel that you are stepping back in Spanish history except you also have beautiful, contemporary facilities. It`s taken about 20 years to beautifully restore this place (from a ruin) and you just have to admire what the owners have done... More

We stayed in Getaria so we would be close to ELKANO Restaurant. It was around 50 feet away down a narrow stone street, up on a cliff, in a renovated 15th century castle/mansion, this place was exquisitely decorated by the owners. Parts of it are original and everything else are also centuries old pieces that have been carefully been hand... More

An amazing view out of the panoramic windows on to the beach a long way below, waking up to the sounds of the tide, but just a few alley ways away from the bars and great restaurants. really helpful staff add to the experience - before and during the visit, eg sorting the parking. Getaria (and Zarautz) such a brilliant... More

We had a great room with large windows on the ocean (superior double). The hotel is very well located in the old city of Getaria - very atmospheric authentic basque city on the ocean with its port. Getaria is a nice hang-out to go discover the rest of the country (Bilbao, San Sebastián, but also Vittoria-Gasteiz). We would check back... More

We stayed here 4 nights in June, 2014. Our room had a stunning view of the ocean. Bed was very good, there was no outside noise, considerably noise from adjoining room, breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. The staff was *extremely* helpful and courteous. For me, the place was excellent with a single drawback, and that is the shower... More
