From the moment we arrived we were treated like family, nothing was a problem, rooms are spectacular, panoramic views, right in heart of a lovely coastal village with a brilliant little wine bar around the corner that will spoil you every evening. The manager was outstanding !! His advice absolutely spot on. Cozy hotel with access to the camino for... More

Lovely hotel. Great views of the beach from high up and the noise of the surf is brilliant. Old building, but updated with real taste and class and there was a very nice lounge area with a balcony on our floor. Getaria though is a bit of a one day wonder, old and quaint, but dominated by sea food restaurants.... More

It isn't entirely straightforward to find this hotel. We booked it through Brittany Ferries and the directions recommended coming off E70 at junction 12 for Zumaia. In fact, J11 (for Zarautz) is better because then you approach the rather 'interesting' road junction in the centre of Getaria from the best direction. Go straight through the junction and just at the... More

We took a sea view room on the top (3rd) floor and loved it. Not only was the view good, but it was quiet … and the bathroom ceiling had a window that would open to let steam out - very clever in this humid climate. The room was clean, typically European small but with room enough for our stuff.... More

I have stayed in this hotel only for one night because there were overbooked. The hotel is truly gorgeous. Rooms are great and have an amazing view. The only problem is that they do not have a balcony. However there is one common balcony on the second floor. Since I am a smoker that would be a huge problem for... More

Family of four stayed for 2 nights in jr suite on third floor. Incredible views, great location. After having stayed in San Sebastian's action packed Old Town for a week, this was a great retreat. A couple of minutes walking distances to beaches and even less to the major restaurants. The front desk booked a dinner at Kaia Kaipe, which... More

Stayed there for two nights during our honeymoon in July 2014. Old building with a very modern renovation. Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, nice city. We walked 3 km along the coast to the beach at Zarautz. There is also a bus that goes along the coast every hour. Lots of restaurants in town for grilled fish.

Fabulous little family-owned hotel in a gorgeous village. Friendly, comfortable and good value. Room was lovely; lounge area and terrace delightful. They did make a mistake with our booking, which meant we only stayed one night not three, but their apology was so heartfelt and genuine that I wouldn't not recommend the place - it really is nice. Surprised by... More

I loved this hotel!!! Our ocean view was amazing. I never got tired of looking at it. My one complaint. At times it was hard to get up and leave the room because I was hypnotized by the view. But the town is lovely and the restaurants are delicious and it is all a step outside the door. There's a... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in July. We were originally planning to spend time in San Sebastián, but chose Getaria and the Hotel Saiaz instead. Best decision I could have made. Getaria is a charming town and the hotel was lovely. We had a room overlooking the street (we booked late so no ocean view room... More
