We had two nights here at the end of a week's walking holiday and this was our favourite hotel of the four stayed in. The building is elegant and furnished with antiques, old photographs and many fine pieces. The gardens are extensive with a good sized pool and all this combined gives this place a very relaxed and exclusive feel.... More

A stunning hotel, a mixture of a stately home, combined with a hotel conversion. We simply loved this place, spotlessly clean, rooms furnished with antiques, yet sympathetically converted into stylish hotel accommodation. Evening meals adequate but not fantastic, three fairly simple courses, but srevice very attentive. Breakfasts taken outside and adequate for everyone, additional course ( i.e. fried eggs available... Spectacular 19th century country house hotel - isolated. Very impressive building in extensive grounds with interesting period artefacts. Whilst staff appreciate any attempts to speak Spanish, this is coupled with a complete unwillingness of serving staff to try to speak guests’ language. Dining around two large tables (so forcing interaction with other guests) – food hearty but uninspired. Breakfast (good)... More

Las Longueras is a wonderful 19th century red/white house with elegant corridors and spacious rooms. It's full of fascinating objects and has an atmosphere all its own. We stayed here two nights and had dinner on both nights. There are two large tables in the dining room so it makes for an interesting evening, working out which language to speak... More

Las Longueras is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind countryside hotel perfect for you, if you like peace and quiet and want to see another side of Gran Canaria than the artificial beach resorts of the South, e.g. the abhorrent Puerto Rico. A family with two kids, we stayed for over a week in the hotel's casa rural, which is a rather spacious... More

We specificly picked this part of the island for the fact that it is not so touristic and has great possibilities to hike. We stayed for a week at Las Longueras in one of the junior suites, which are somewhat behind the main house. Modern suite with big bathroom, shower and bubblebath with a great view on the mountains. Enough... More

Situated in a beautiful part of the island. The Finca is a lovely old building with loads of character. The pool is big and in the sun the whole day with plenty of loungers for everyone, but we had the pool to ourselves most days even though the hotel was full. The bedrooms are large and have a ceiling fan... More

This was the last of 3 hotels that we stayed at on our holiday in Gran Canaria. It was the furthest away from the airport but the trip to the airport does not involve any significant mountain climbs so the drive is easier and quicker. The hotel is approached by a single track unpaved road which is not in a... More

We had a very pleasant week in this hotel. A common thread of earlier comments is the calm and the beauty of this place and we agree. We had room nr 2 overlooking the garden. The room was spacious with two queen beds, a bathroom and a wardrobe. TV, fridge and sofa with a small table completed the furniture. We... More

just arrived back from this hotel with mixed feelings!total isolation ,peace and tranquility as promised.the bed room as the rest of the hotel were spacious and clean but suffered from lack of investment and maintenance ,very much in need of serious TLC.The restaurant had a menu of only one choice,so if you didnt like it you were stuck. The coffee was... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Known as "La Casa Roja" or Red House, this mansion was built as an autumnal residence in the centre of agricultural land growing oranges, avocados, mangos and papayas. This surprising Hotel oozes harmony from all four walls. In its exquisite decoration the clean lines stand out, along with the wood harmoniously blended with bright fabrics, the colour range and the collection of photographs, paintings and antiques lining the corridors and rooms. The garden captivates visitors due to its centuries-old trees, fruit trees and the care with which it is looked after, perfumed in spring by the delicate smell of saffron. ... more   less
