We booked this bed and breakfast based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed. We loved Albarracin and staying at La Casa del Tio Americano made it even more magical and enjoyable. We requested room # 6 and the other couple traveling with us requested # 5. Both rooms share a terrace with a lovely view! There is lots... More

We arrived with no booking and no-one around. A quick phone call by a kind neighbour and Angeles rushed to greet us. Our room [No 5] had great views and the terrace made a perfect place to enjoy the complimentary bottle of cava and plan our day. Angeles helped arrange a guided tour and recommended a great bar to enjoy... More

Albarracin is a tiny hovel of a thousand souls. It gained its 'cuidad/city' status through a treaty signed hundreds of years ago. It remains historical, tranquil and bundled away against the rocky outcrop. Driving through its medieval streets is like walking into a forest. You look up to see instead of a green canopy, the balconies and roofs of medieval-like... More

My better half somehow read a blog with one photo of this tiny 6 bed rooms hotel in Albarracin, Spain. Like this tiny village it is absolutely a gem with unforgettable experiences. This Casa is run by two siblings, Miguel aka Kato and sister Angeles both are most friendly people you will meet. You will need to park your car... More

It is raining. Access to the town is up a flight of steps. With a wheelie case. Later it rains even more. Most of the sights are closed. So how come we loved Albarracin so much ? Well the place itself is such a perfect small Spanish hill town that you wonder if it is taken down and put away... More

Albarracin is a hidden gem! Although a bit out of the way from the normal tourist towns, it is well worth the trip. And La Casa del Tio Americana fits perfectly with this historic site. Located in the heart of the village, the views from the terraces of each room are fantastic. And the service was great. Room size was... More

We spent 2 lovely days here. Brother n sister team Miguel n Angelines were wonderful hosts. They don't speak a lot of English but they could not do enough for us. I chose this hotel because it has a terrace n upon arrival found that it has amazing views. The rooms have floor heating n we were warm as toast.... More

We stayed here in October for 3 nights and were made extremely welcome. The room was lovely and the gift of a bottle of cava on our arrival was so nice. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our breakfast in the little dining area. We were invited to make a hot drink any time during the day in the little... More

We booked one of the rooms with a small outside terrace, number 5. The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful place, having driven here we were also pleased that parking was close by. Although we explored the village together my wife was happy to quietly sample a glass of wine on the terrace, read her book; while I walked... More
