Location: bit of a walk from the main beach of Alicante and the main hustle and bustle of the San Juan Festival, but the hostel itself is outstanding and in a very nice part of Alicante. Staff: very friendly and attentive Hostel: very clean. Looks more like a hotel than a hostel in terms of layout. Lovely swimming pool and... More

I booked Mont Royal for my sons, and they were pleased with the accommodation. We knew it was going to be basic, but all they wanted to do there was sleep, so great for that. Very clean, basic room and bedding, but that's what we expected for the price. Internet was hit and miss. The pool was a good size.... More

I didn't like this hostel because they didn't have a kitchen, the beds were uncomfortable and the staff were very unorganized. The location wasn't bad, close to the metro and easy access to the beach area but very far from the city center- in a neighborhood area. The restaurants by the hostel are expensive and not that good.

The hostel has good installations, nothing very luxurious but is quite comfortable to spend some relaxed days. The swimming pool is small but very cozy. The restaurant in the same hotel is quite good, they have very delicious plates. It is very close to nice beaches but maybe a little bit far away from the center. If what you are... More

This hostel came recommended on loads of sites. It was nice, staff really helpful and rooms were clean. The only problem was our room was hot, we had all windows open and was early May but felt like a Sauna, air con wasn't on. Lovely pool and bar area and close to fantastic beach and easy to get into central... More

Pros: price (and the weekly price was 180 Euros; an incredible deal) friendly staff very clean close to tram ten minutes walk to beach (so not near the centre of the town Alicante, but the tram will take you right into the centre; roughly every 30') drinks are inexpensive in La Polloza (the adjoining familiy-run restaurant) Cons: water supply in... The Hostel is initially very hard to find as is situated a 20 minute bus journey away from the train station, with the directions given by the hostel not being too great! However, the rooms were very nice, with a good ensuite bathroom, and a nice swimming pool. Staff do not speak very good english, so that was difficult at... More

The hostal was an interesting surprise. First of all, for what we paid 50-someting euro per night , in high season, the quality was really good. The reception is not always manned, because the staff is mainly downstairs working in the restaurant - which I'll talk about later. Our room was fine; not too small with a nice working bathroom...
