We stayed there for 5 days in June 2011 and we actually didn't know what to expect since we booked it in a rush. We were really positively surprised with the standard and the location of the hotel, which is just beside the beach and 2min walk from the Airport bus (!). We are actually recommending the hotel to all... More

We chose the 4*Melia Alicante for our “city break” because we wanted a relaxing stay in a central location in a room with a view of the sea. The hotel accomplished the last two of those aspirations perfectly. The size and design of both the bathroom and bedroom was spot on with the bathroom offering plentiful shelving and a stool... More

Hotel is well located near the sandy beach and the tunnel to castle Santa Barbara. Also not so far from the centre. Rooms are quite new, clean and well-furnished, although without tea making facility. Staff was friendly enough. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection of cheese and ham (chorizo was very good) and sweet snacks as well. Generally nothing... More

This was our second visit to this hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor facing the harbour, a great view. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was more modern in decor than the previous year on level 3 it was not as spacious. The breakfast had a huge variety, it was well organised. A great central location, beach... More

Stayed here on our trip to see the Spain v Scotland game and it was great. Not only did the staff have to cope with a full hotel but the Spanish national team were staying here , so they had to cope with the chaos that went with that. hotel is right on the beach ,breakfast has everything you could... Hi I went to stay at the melia alicante last october 2011. The hotel was spick and span. The cleaning staff were wonderful. The breakfast buffet was to die for although I suggest you pay for your breakfast as part of a package as it is very expensive at 21 euro.... The front staff were friendly enough. The best thing... Went last weekend for 3 nights and were allocated a junior suite, so we had a kingsize bed (very comfortable), a separate living room, a full bathroom and also a shower and toilet. Good quality items. Our room was overlooking the sea. On our first night we were given a small bottle of dessert wine and chocolates which was a... More

Stayed here in July. Very nice treatment in reception. Nice room for 3-2 adults and a child on teh Level even though we were not booked in there-did not avail of the food and drink though. Breakfast was fantastic-wine included-spoiled for choice with lovely Spanish and English food. Pool was small but adequate but be careful as it was very... More

Have been visiting Alicante for many years on business and have always stayed at the Melia. The location on the beach next to the marina and a short walk into town, could not be better, There may be noise especially on Friday and Saturday nights from the revelers outside. Rooms vary from the very good overlooking the Med to small... More

We stayed for a 3 night break choosing a superior room on The Level. This meant access to a small self service free bar often having appetisers in the evening. This brought an extra luxury to the break. The location was unrivalled both to the town and the beach. would recommend this hotel. Our phone did not work during our... More
