We have just stayed at the Melia hotel in Alicante for 1 night during a 20 hour delay with Monarch. The 2 rooms that we had were dirty, musty, run down and very very old fashioned. On arrival into one room, we were greeted straightaway by the "mother of all cockroaches!! " and believe me I have seen a fair... more

First, the obvious....the hotel overlooks the beach and the Mediterranean and the view is stunning. All of the rooms have balconies and are very clean and nice. But the staff, although constantly busy, are willing to go the extra mile for you. Extremely great experience there! more

Travelled with my husband for a weekend break to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are in our early 40's. Flight Travelled with Ryan Air from Birmingham Airport. Good flight, very pleased with the service despite reading some very bad Ryanair reviews. Couldn't fault them, both flights departed on time, staff good, flight smooth. Airport to Hotel No customs checking at... more

We stayed at the Melia as we got married at the town hall that is very close to the hotel. Most of the things we have to say are positive. A really nice hotel, absolutely amazing location. I truely believe you cannot get a better location. The room was really nice, spacious enough for what we paid for, with a... more

We stayed at the Melia on The Level for 3 nights during May. I had emailed the hotel a week in advance to request a room on the beach side of the hotel & this request was met upon checking in. The glass elevator gives some great views of the marina. The room was great, pretty much as expected-small balcony... more

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 6 nights. We stayed at the Suite on the "The Level". Marvelous balconcy with stunning views over the ocean/beach/mountain. Huge and comfortable bed, marvlous jacuzzi like bath, great sized bathroom seperated into 2 sections. Really helpful staff. There was consturction going on just... more

Just back from 3 nights, we'd stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago. You won't find a better spot, right by the beach and marina, in the middle of the city. There are lots of places to eat nearby, we didn't eat at the hotel although the bar was welcome each night! Expect hotel prices, the Euro/£ exchange... more

Having just returned from Alicante, I have no complaints about the Melia Alicante. Our room was a good size and was very clean. Our children slept on the sleeper sofa. The bed for my husband and I was very comfortable. Even though our room was next to the elevators it was very quiet. We tend to go to bed early... more

We normally make an early season visit to Spain after the winter and having visited Palma for the past few years we thought we would have a change this year and try Alicante. We were not disappointed as Alicante was an excellent location to visit with many attractions all within easy walking distance. Most previous Tripadvisor reports on the Hotel Melia were... more

The Melia alicante is a typical 4* hotel it offers everything it says it will but nothing more. Staff are friendly and efficient and house keeping is exellent with our towels being replaced every day as we took them to the beach! very modern hotel although some rooms are quite dated - we stayed with children aged 6 and 9... more
