We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Gran Melia Palacio - like the last reviewer, we were travelling will our baby - a 9 month old, but could not have had a more different experience! We have been very lucky to become accustomed to beautiful 5 star hotels over the past few years and the Gran Melia... more

We have just returned from a trip to the Palacio de Isora and we were so disappointed. Having travelled to many 5* hotels previously our expectations are high and they were certainly not lived up to. On arrival we were impressed, the hotel looks stunning! Beautiful lobby area, bellhops straight to the car to collect luggage and guided straight through... more

This almost-new hotel hotel, which looks a bit like an architectural folly, is enormous and was probably a quarter full, so it seems they are having trouble filling it. Got a very good deal - half-board + 150 euros spending money through Lastminute. Just as well we had the credit as the drinks prices are ferocious. Only trouble is it's... more

Spent 7 relaxing nights and enjoyed each one. Breakfast buffet was suberb, lots of choice from fruit and pastries to eggs, meats, cheese and pancakes. Dinner buffet was also great and decent value at €35 per head in a 5 star hotel. Again, lots of choice with soups, salads, breads, fish and meat, ice cream and cakes. Staff were a... more

Stayed at the hotel for a week in May and having read some of the reviews I am a litle surprised. I visited with my wife and son and we had a good week getting away from it all. My son had a great time because they had a great kids club and a very nice children's swimming pool. A... more

We came here to relax but went away thinking we needed another holiday. The rooms were quite a nice idea style wise but the finish was rubbish (summed up the whole place really). We were in a deluxe room next to the circular plaza that's above the Ocean Club. What a disaster. On the second night all the twentysomethings that... more

We have just returned from 4 days here, having spent the previous week at the Botanico in Puerto de la Cruz. You'll see from my review of that hotel that we thought it was great - sadly we can't say the same of the Palacio de Isora. Some elements were very good though - the room was lovely (an ocean... more

We have recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Palacio de isora in the Red Level. First the negatives: - We made our reservation on their official web page, in a Red Level Demi-Suite and werent given an option for a sea facing room se we assumed all the Red Level suites were. Unfortunately we were mistaken and... more

Just had a one week holiday, what a fantastic hotel. we took advantage of an American Express offer which stipulated 90 minute timeshare presentation which was no problem. The cost was ridiculous, but I wont reveal what it was for one week, except we were in shock ! The bad points 1 Could not get a room which had any kind of sun on... more
