The location is stunning but you should do your research with regard to the mountain roads. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable, although the superior that we had was quite small. There was complimentary tea and coffee provided between 5-7pm but we would have appreciated drink making facilities in our room. Our only real... More

We stayed one night here on a walking tour, and really appreciated it. Its location is wonderful, on a wooded hillside looking down to the village of Schignano (it is closest to the hamlet of Posa, a slightly detached part of Schignano). If you're hiking, you can reach it easily by dropping down from the Via dei Monti Lariani and... More

This "agritourismo" is located in the hills above lake Como. I was glad to have GPS navigation (...and the coordinates), because the place might be a bit hard to find. The rooms are a little small, but charmingly decorated. We had great views from our little balcony. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant (appetizers, first and second course -... More

it's hard to get to if you don't have a car, i'd recommend planning taxis and buses in advance as both are irregular. The walk down to lake Como is beautiful, but takes two hours (there is hotel three quarters of the way down perfect for a pit stop). The food is delicious, best breakfast I've had for a while,... We stayed at Al-Marnich 2 days and it was really like being at home. The small house where we stayed, gave us a feeling every detail there has been made with thought and care. They have many nice hiking routes with magnificient views near there. I have to mention that I haven´t slept as deeply as I did there. It... More

Emanuele and company was Charming!! The food was real Italian farm to table experience. Menu changed every night for the three nights that we stayed there. The open kitchen was very clean. They even let us take a picture with the Chef and company for a great memory. If your looking for non tourist food and feel like you want... More

I found the place very difficult to find. The climb up the mountain would have been a chore for Sir Edmond Hillery. My GPS kept saying "I'm lost Too" Very poor signage on the roads up to the destination. A sign is needed at the fountain pointing to their Road! The facility looked very quaint when we finally arrived. I... More

This is a charming rustic farmhouse, a short drive from Lake Como (if you go the opposite way to our sat-nav, which took us all around the mountain villages, rather than along the shores of the lake then up, but nevermind). The owners were lovely. One spoke English really well, the other a man didn't, but we still managed to... More

This is first time we stay in a place which is far from the main attractions. I think that for us it whould have been better to stay near to the lake, since most of our days we spent at the lake. Also, since it is far on the mountain, nothing really to do at the afternoon or eavning. We... More

My husband has been asking me to try agriturismo and I am very happy that I actually said yes, this time round. It was a unique and wonderful experience. We have been to Lake Como before so I agreed to try something really different. Al-Marnich is a hidden gem. We paid 65euros for the room (which is cheap for Europe).... More
