If you are traveling by car, the Hotel J Balmes is easy to find, clearly signposted and adjacent to the hospital. The location is excellent - 10 minute walk to the historical centre of Vic. The rooms are fine and the service friendly and helpful. A double room with breakfast (and including one dog) cost 80 euros.

This an unpretentious hotel. No luxury, all rather basic, but the price is unbeatable. Internet Works fine, service is friendly and quite international. Unfortunately the hotel is somewhat away from the centre, but otherwise fine for a quick overnight stay.

We had a family triple room which was a bit of a squeeze but OK for a short visit. No luxury here quite basic accommodation and bathroom ( but I believe they are currently updating some rooms)! We visit Vic every year for the Medieval Festival in December, this hotel takes about 15 minutes to walk from the city centre.... More

I was here with my group of friends last month for Cantonigros competition - and we were placed in this hotel for 4 nights. Vic is a small charming city - away from hustle and bustle. It is a historical site, hence do not expect lavish and super colorful citi lights here. The hotel did deliver good performance in terms... More

Hotel J. Balmes is OK for one or two nights. Across the road from the hospital, parking can be quite a challenge. There are a few places to eat (bars mainly) in what is best described as an average area. The rooms were OK with comfortable beds and furnishings. The hotel is generally attractive, clean and reasonably furnished. The area,... More

A spotlessly clean modern hotel about 15 mins walk from the historic centre of Vic.We had a quiet comfortable room and fairly large bathroom overlooking a side-street.There was free parking right outside the entrance (though we were told these places are sometimes taken by hospital visitors wishing to avoid paying for the official car-park). The breakfast was perfectly adequate though... More

We stayed at the hotel just for one night in a triple room. Good things: inexpensive, easy to park a car (we used a free slot), clean room, good breakfast. To be aware of: rather not get a room facing a hospital; room was on a smaller side; good 30 min walk to the old town (half way – uphill),... More

There is nothing exactly wrong with this hotel, but if you end up here on a holiday trip (like we did) you could do better. It is a modern building in a suburb of Vic opposite the Hospital. The room was basic but uninspiring and the breakfast was OK. There is a friendly local restaurant around the corner which did... More
