Would come back many times. Reminds me of Switzerland. Absolutely beautiful location. Recently renovated, very comfortable, quiet and with breathtaking views. The drive to this location is trough a nature reserve and worth it,

This Parador is, like the other state-run luxury hotels, just shy of full comfort but excellent nonetheless. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, the views on the lake side are strikingly beautiful. I would have a liked a somewhat softer mattress and better pillows, wifi in the room, and salad options in the restaurant but these are minor points. Near... More

Superb location and it is worth upgrading to a room with a lake view. Service a little flaky in the restaurant and would advise to steer clear of the fish dishes - the chef is clearly a meat man! Just missing a few little Parador touches - what has happened to the bath robes? Wi-fi is very hit or miss... More

Quite a distance off the beaten track but when you get there what a delight. The view is outstanding as you look at the lake over the garden and swimming pool. The hotel was built to last but when you go inside you are pleasantly surprised by the modernisation that has taken place. We had a standard room which was... More

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as part of a European motorcycle trip and wished we'd been able to stay longer! In short, it's a wonderful place tucked away in the mountains with stunning views. Our (standard) room was enormous with separate lounge, bathroom, toilet and bedroom. The modern four-poster was a bit of a surprise too!... More

Excellent, peaceful setting. Room upgrade to a balcony was well justified for the early morning breakfast in room service (no extra charge). Evening meal, was average - no real gastronomic surprises, after we spent two weeks on holiday on the costa's with far better food. May be worth checking out a local restaurant if staying longer than the overnight we... More

The hotel is in an amazing location, very remote, but with a wonderful view. No man made sound at night, no man made light in the sky. The hotel is very impressive, and we were very lucky to get room 212 with a view over the Lake. And what a view! !! The rooms are of a very high standard,... More

We sampled 5 paradores some 4 years ago in andalusia and found them great value . Vic Sau was in the same vein : efficient, dependable, clean , super location . Vic Sau was the closest parador to ...Barcelona would you believe , so as a location to take day trips to Gaudi city , it was not perfect. But... More

We stayed at the Parador de Vic-Sau for 2 nights - before we arrived the hotel emailed us offering us the opportunity to pay an additional €25 per night to upgrade to a superior room with a balcony overlooking the lake. I don't know what the standard rooms look like (or if they have a lake view) but I certainly... More

with similar furniture in most rooms. What they do have, however is stunning buildings and/or locations. This parador is quite new - opened 2006 - almost at the end of a mountain road, and high above the Sau reservoir. Unlike some paradores that we have experienced, the staff here are extremely helpful, friendly and pleased to give information on places... More
