Had a great couple of nights in this great hotel. Would recommend this Parador the standard of food and accommodation is very good. If booking would recommend you book a room with a balcony. The view is amazing out over the reservoir. Could not fault it in any way. Which Parador next ?

Like all paradores, this one is of high quality. It isn't a good place if you want to explore Barcelona, but if you want to be out of the city and in the mountains, it is perfect. It was about 10 km down a winding road back to the highway, but you might not want to leave! The hotel overlooks... More

Position, views, excellent, but on checking in we were told that our request of a lake view, could not be granted unless we paid an extra E20.We were informed that 'all Internet bookings are given a room overlooking the car park! Room overlooking the lake, large, spacious, but utilitarian.Functional. The dining room seemed to lack anyone in charge. Our meal at E38 barely adequate. The wine arrived after... More

Our visit was very much at the end of the season so the hotel was quiet and running in low gear. On arrival you can only be aghast at the quality of the view (unless its foggy which can happen this high up) and our large & luxurious room benefited from a good balcony and more of the same view.... We enjoyed our large room with balcony overlooking the lake and the delicious dinner and breakfast at this Parador. Our dinner meal included the exceptional sausages from the Vic area and melt-in-your mouth lamb. It was served by a cheerful and engaged staff--something that cannot be said for all Paradors.

Very high marks for this comfortable Parador set high above the west edge of a lake (a dammed river) wandering steep forested valleys in hills east of Vic (attractive old heart to this provincial town, excellent museum) and about an hour’s drive north of Barcelona, the scenic calm making a wonderful antidote to the throb of the Catalan capital. This place is special. Breathtaking beauty, peace and tranquility. The Parador offers high standard accommodation and service. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is truly excellent including the many choices provided by the "Parador menu" (inclusive Half Board tariff). Book a room with balcony to fully enjoy the magical beauty of the lake. Watch as the sun goes down and... More

What a special place! The welcome was warm and the accommodation excellent. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Our only criticism was the extremely slow service in the restuarant. We sat down at 8.20pm but did not receive our first course until 9.20pm! The main course was a little quicker (arrived about 10pm) but we had to... More

We have just stayed in this Parador for five nights. It is an excellent hotel set in a quiet, beautiful location and has very friendly and attentive staff. The food is very good and drinks reasonable. If you are there for a long stay try the nearby restaurant Fussimanya for one night but book in advance. There is walking near the hotel... More

We booked on line, www.paradores.es The tariff for a standard room was $195. However they have a golden discount of 30% if you are older than 55, so we paid 139E including breakfast. It’s a pleasant drive about 20 minutes from Vic. A very quiet no through road to the Paradore set overlooking a beautiful lake. We parked outside the... More
