I can only agree with all the above reviews. This place is the best B&B we've stayed in for years by a long way. We stayed for a long weekend for a family wedding a couple of years ago, and this place although not in Penrith itself, is close enough that it was well worth the diversion to stay here.... More

An excellent fourth visit to this first rate bed & breakfast. Linda and Philip as hospitable as ever. Food and cleanliness at this establishment is top notch and we would recommend it to anybody wanting peace and quiet and excellent value for money. We will be back!!

We stayed at the Ginney for a couple nights on our way back from Scotland recently and were made most welcome by the owners. Excellent accommodation and food. Would recommend to anyone.

Stayed at Daisy cottage after seeking some R&R time in the lakes. Perfect location with easy travel by car to Penrith, Ullswater, Windemere etc. Superb host, couldn't ask for a better equipped cottage and impeccable decor for a very comfortable stay. Daisy cottage was lovely! Everything we could have needed was there and it all looked brand new and very clean. Linda and her husband were very helpful and we would definitely recommend a stay here! The Ginney is an ideal place to stay in the Penrith area. A party of 6 we stayed here as a stopover when doing the C2C bike ride. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. "Just perfect" would be an understatement.This was Perfection PLUS !! It was our last night of a 3 week holiday to Scotland, and we certainly saved the very best to last. As a bonus,the meal we had at nearby Stoneybeck Inn was also excellent,with a 25% reduction on all wine (for Father's Day) !!
