I think this place is terrific! On the day we arrived, John checked us in and showed us to our room. We were on the second floor with a great view of the water. The room was large, clean and had everything we needed. We asked John for a recommendation for dinner and without hesitation he recommended The Spinnaker, a... More

The location of the guesthouse would be hard to beat - right in the beach in one of Ireland's special places Dunmore East. There are nine rooms so it is very much a guest house, somewhat like a small hotel. rather than a cosy B&B in the traditional style. Nonetheless there is a nice atmosphere, generated by the welcoming owners... More

We were blown away by the spacious room, with hard wood floors, wooden modern furniture and great beds! The location is great, as are the hosts and there breakfast. The only downside of the place is the noise coming from the next dooe neighboor, The Strand, a pub/restaurant and voutisue hotel just accross the road. The first night was noisy... More

My wife and I booked the 'Beach Guest House' after visiting Dunmore East some 3 years ago. The guest house is in a prime location in the resort and looks most impressive Our stay this July did not disappoint in anyway whatsoever. Breda and John were most helpful hosts. We were allocated room 6, a large bay fronted, en suite,... More

We discovered "The Beach Guest House" by chance in Summer 2012 and had a quick stay. We were so impressed we returned again in July 2013. The location is absolutely stunning and the service was second to none.Room was spacious and clean, well furnished with everything you will ever need for a very comfortable stay.Breakfast was delicious in the dining... From the outset the man-of-the-house was rude in relation to where we would securely put our bikes even though we had phoned in advance and were advised that they could be locked in a shed (which turned out to be untrue). His poor attitude continued for the duration of our two night stay. The woman-of-the-house was equally rude. Perhaps we... More

We booked 2 rooms. Both had harbour views and were a good size and had all the mod cons of a five star room. Breakfast was fine, all food freshly made and plenty of everything. Couldn't find fault with the room. Hosts were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We went for dinner at the Spinnicker Restaurant. Really fresh, tasteful... More

We were planning to stay in Waterford, but Dunmore East was recommended as an alternative, and The Beach Guesthouse looked really good. As we only decided the night before, fortunately for us there was a room free. It was an excellent recommendation and choice. The position is superb, right at the sea wall, and the house is delightful. Welcoming and... More

The Beach Guesthouse is a wonderful B&B right on the ocean. The owners welcomed us as if we were family. Our room was huge with large bay windows looking out on charming thatched cottages and the ocean across the street. It was sparkling clean and comfortably furnished. The bed was king-size comfort! Beautiful hardwoods throughout the room. We had a... More

So many people recommended for us to visit Dunmore East, while we didn't see a lot of the area we feel we stayed in the best location. It really is in the perfect spot. We stayed for one night with our 1 year old and couldn't be happier. We ate dinner at the local restaurant recommended by John. He entertained... More
