After a 4-week organised tour of 5 countries in Central America, we felt that we wanted to relax a bit before returning home. Booked 4 nights at Tekuani Kal and although it looked nice on the website it turned out to be even better in reality! Location right on the beach perfect for surfing or just having fun in the... Chose this hotel from other reviews and speaking with the owner. My stay there had it's ups and downs. The highs were- room # 4- oceanfront room and the meals. Breakfast was included wih the room. Had the typical Salvadorean breakfast; plaintains, beans, eggs and sweet cheese. Delicious. Dinners also excellent- menu had a great selection of food. The low-... More

The hotel is one of the better in town. The hotel is beautiful but our room was a little not as good. Firstly, the room is very dark at night because it only has 3 small lamps on top of the bed. Our bathroom smelled weird and we had to get someone to clean it. There is no hot water... More

We were referred to the hotel by a Salvadoran who currently lives in the US. The staff accommodating and friendly. They don't speak English but understand Spanglish and are very patient. My Spanish improved greatly by the end of the week. The food at the restaurant was good, particularly the seafood. The seafood skewers and the calamari ceviche were two... More

This Hotel has everything!! Great staff, amazing pool, breath taking views & delicious FREE breakfast!!! The location is perfect!! Near food, bars & on the beach. What it lacks is in it's rooms. The rooms have carpet that smells like mildew. It made sleeping a bit difficult. Most beachside hotels have tile floors. Unfortunately they went with carpet and it... More

After debating if a trip to El Salvador would be a safe thing to do we decided to give it a shot. This hotel was referred to by a friend and man she was right. It sits beautifully located, right on the beach, was fantastic views. The hotel itself has 6 or 7 rooms, some of them are newly remodeled... More

My wife and I spent 5 days here to simply get away from it all, and enjoyed the spectacular setting, the service and the friendliness of the staff, the food and lounging on the beach or at the pool. During the week, we were the only guests and had the run of the place. The drawbacks mentioned by other reviewers... More

This hotel is a small gem. The basic structure is quite simple, seven rooms either with a small porch facing the ocean or a small garden. The landscape architecture is exceptionally artistic and well thought out. On the beach in front of the hotel, there's a small oasis with hammocks. So you spend your day either on the beach, or... My husband and I spent our 23rd wedding anniversary at Tekuani Kal in El Tunco. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the top notch customer service received during our entire stay! It was very easy to find the hotel even at night! The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was as memorable as possible. From... More
