The hotel has some awesome views of the Pacific Ocean and some spectacular sunsets. The beach is a bit rocky, but can still swim on it when the sea is calm. The pool is tiny but with a great view. The restaurant food is really good. Pick a room from the top of the hotel...best views and great breeze.

This place was very nice before new building. It has ruined the ambience; ruined the pool experience. Why is there a tall step up into the rooms? And a step down to the bed area? Very dangerous; one of my relatives did fall. I used to love this place. The location of the new building has destroyed it. Love El... More

we stayed there 2 nights, the location is good, I believed that rooms with view to the sea would be great because the hotel is on a small hill, we have and a room in the courtyard. Positive -cleaness -location -staff -Bar & Restaurant Negative -Breakfast(to small portions food and coffee, microscopic bread, No pupusas) -Leak in the roof, almost... More

We only stayed for one night, could quite have happily stayed for longer. Once checked in, someone carried our bags to our rooms, which were very clean, and the air conditioning was blasting out, which was welcoming! Stunning view out of our window to the ocean, and had our own seating area outside. The beach is a stones throw away.... More

The pictures of this hotel are very deceiving. They have different room categories and will give you the worst room possible. The rooms are overpriced. There are roaches. Bad smells. There is no water pressure or even hot water. The faucets and showers are all salt water. The rooms were never made, except for one day that we complained. The... More

This hotel is perfect. My mom and I stayed there last february for about a week. First off, ALL of the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Even Walter, the owner went out of his way to make sure we were having a good time, took us for a hike and took me out surfing. He definitely made the trip... More

A good hotel if you want to be beachside in Playa el Tunco. Beach hotels can be a bit rustic, so you have to take that into account. The location is excellent - easy access to beach and to the rest of the businesses in El Tunco. The rooms are comfortable - ours had a balcony to sit with a... More

I stayed here once a few years ago and enjoyed the tranquility of the place. I decided to stay again last week as I noticed that the restaurant area had been expanded and improved. However, the more economic rooms had not seen any improvement from my prior visit and are still rough around the edges for the price. I stayed... More

Married to a surfer we decided to honeymoon here. Found this hotel on waterwaystravel.com. Before we headed to El Salvador I had a lot of communication with Susana at the hotel. She was extremely helpful and even moved us to the suite knowing I probably needed something a little more. I did rent one of the ocean view rooms for... More

I stayed last week with a friend in Tekuani Kal. The hotel is extremely well located on the beach. It has an exit to go to the beach and the other exit to go to the town. We tried the breakfast (as they are part of the rate) and we really liked it. The have great pancakes, nutella crepes (mmm!)... More
