Myself and my fiance were travelling on the bula combo pass and had our last stop here. It's a Fijian community owned resort and unlike a lot of the other resorts that have foreign owners and money invested in them. This means it's not as fancy as the other Islands, but the rooms are spacious and the facilities are good.... More

Wayalailai is warm, friendly and real. The facilities are basic but no one should go to a remote island and expect 24 hr electricity and unlimited water. The resort was doing its best despite a 9 month drought. Our thatched bure was adorable and the food was tasty and filling. And when my daughter fussed about the sauce on the... More

I can't believe the wimps who travel these days. I've just been reading reviews from a guy who was transferred from the Yasawa Flyer to Wayalailai by the island boat (wooden with outboard motor) and he was shocked by the waves hitting the side of the boat. Poor love - it must have been a horrendous few hundred metres and... More

I have been for 3 night and a I had the best time! The beach is amazing and I scuba dive with little sarks. The sunrise in the mountain is amazing, but the climb mountain is discomfortable, because is in the night and dark. The way have fountain and the rocks is slip.

We stayed here only one night. Without asking nothing they downgrade our stay from bure to lodge only because the bure were full, no hot water and missing tools from the shower lodge shower. The place is not bad but is was not the best experience. The food is really good, the only one of the three resorts visited, they... More

Our boat transfer from the Yasawa Flyer in stormy seas was extremely scary, with water spraying all 8 or 9 of us as as we knelt with our luggage in the little open boat as it pounded into the waves and our boatmen howled with laughter. I would prefer not to repeat that experience. Our bure was acceptable and cofmortable,... More

We stayed here only for one night, but to be honest I didn't really sleep there... Our bed in a lodge was full of bed bugs ! We took a picture of one of them and tried to kill as much as we can. I couldn't sleep because of allergies. The morning after, we advised the responsable for that, and... More

This Resort was our fifth on our tropical island explorer tour. After the first four islands we didnt expect much anymore and were not so much looking forward to a new island anymore but I think we had the best time here. The beachfront bure was very nice, we had furniture on the terrace and the furniture inside the room... More

So, first of all, what makes Waya Lailai worth visiting is the scenery. The views from the hostel were beautiful, nice beach with views across to Kuata, great location with the huge rocky peak behind the resort and the forest. It reminded me of the LOST island! And I liked the grassy area that the bures was set on. However,... More

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Stunning Beach, clear waters, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Spent Three Nights in a Bure. They don't have all the fascilities of modern tourist hotels, you don't even have Power for 24h, but that is not why you og to such a Place.
