Our group of 6 stayed in a villa near Calagrana. We discovered the restaurant on the first evening and ordered everything on the menu, we just had to try it all. We were not disappointed by one dish! We ate here again at the end of the week and were offered the chef's table which was unbelievable. Again, every dish... More

This was our second stay at Calagrana and we are already planning our next trip. From the moment you arrive, you feel completely relaxed. It is the perfect base for exploring Umbria and Tuscany with Siena, Montepulciano and Orvieto no further than 1.5 hours drive away and lesser known places like Cortona, Gubbio and Todi about 45 minutes away. Calagrana... More

Our family of 10 went here for lunch, it is a pretty place with a great view. We sat on the cool verandah and all really enjoyed our lunch. Everyone loved the dishes they had chosen. The scallops and pate were a hit and the truffle pasta was amazing, desserts are not to be missed also. It is a family... More

We had a delicious dinner here. Interesting food using local ingredients, very well prepared. Lots of good, reasonably priced wines. Young woman serving us had a bit of a face on, but the owner, who speaks English, did her best to make up for it. Charming place, away from the main road. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our... More

We stayed here with some friends as a wedding party and was blown away with the beautiful views, the kind and friendly hosts, amazing food and very picturesque rooms. Alberto, Ely, Olli and Chris made our stay outstanding and we will be returning with kids in tow as soon as possible. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

This was the first place we stayed on our trip and after 2 short nights, we just didn't want to leave at all! We very nearly cancelled our next booking as we saw absolutely no need to leave. As it happens we didn't, so now we must come back as soon as possible. We were welcomed by Alberto & Ely... More

Spent 5 great nites at this Argiturismo and will return again as just can't quit thinking of all the wonderful dishes Alberto served up. No restaurant after leaving this establishment exceeded what we received here. So nice to be able to just cross the yard and not worry about driving anywhere else, heavenly.

We have had a house in the Niccone valley for 20 years and we were so very pleased when Calagrana arrived to delight us with the superb cuisine of Albi and Ely. We are never disappointed and always bring our visitors to dine or lunch on a Sunday. The best view in the area as well as delicious food always... More

A terrific Sunday lunch in Dec ... Not that easy to find ... The welcome was warm and the room even warmer... A good start on a bitterly cold snowy Dec day... The menu was tempting... Superb soup... Even better pasta...and on hot plates!!! Followed by fabulous pork....home produced!! Outstanding roast potatoes.. The wine list is of equal quality...and good... More

I attended the cooking school with Chef Alberto and it was fabulous!! He is a great teacher, sharing many tips and also providing a book with all the recipes and notes from the day. I highly recommend making the time to do this. We also enjoyed dinner twice a Alberto's charming restaurant -- each meal a delight. Italian flavors prepared... More
