It takes a great effort to call a resort a 5 star hotel. Any shortfall should be overcome by the exceptional service of its staff or its comfort. For one night stay I couldn't judge much but it is definitely not a place I will come to relax. The location is quite near to the Ayer Keroh exit of the... More

Came for a short weekend trip. Staff was all friendly and helpful, that was good but they did not seem all that experienced. Stayed in the pavillion room, imho the room and surroundings are gorgeous with all the trees and the big big bed and fluffy pillows. Food wise, very very VERY forgettable and not worth the money. The steamboat... More

Visited Melaka over the weekend. Drove for 2.5 hours from Singapore (quite a nice drive- highway all the way). The last time I visited Melaka was more than 15 years ago. Decided to stay at Philea Resort and Spa because it was located outside town (in Ayer Keroh) and also that it had great reviews. When we arrived at the... More

My family and I booked 2 rooms for 5 adults and 1 child, which also included dinner and breakfast. We had been told we were having a Ramadhan buffet, but it was a steamboat dinner. Worst of all, we were given 2 tables of 3 for steamboat, which was totally unsuitable for a family, and for steamboat dinner! There was... More

Nice spa resort but on that day itself due to public holiday, the room did not have a king size or queen size bed. We were given 2 single bed. Room is nice and cosy. I love the nature surrounding. The spa is good and the staff are all very polite and give us a very good service. Only that the... More

Was here for a corporate teambuilding event. Conference facilities: Nothing extraordinary but does not replenish bottled water to tables after breaks. Just dumped at corner and not enough. Teambuilding: Had one short game at the open/archery area and made to walk all the way back to poolside for the other two games. Not very organised, probably due to organiser:participant ratio... The worst food that melaka could serve. Flies all over the buffet line. Far from jonker street or civilisation. No good phone signal. Even worst spa facilities. Bad staffing. Not worth the money. The room was clean and some things look new. But absolute waste of money.
