A good value hotel in an extremely poor country. Rooms were spotless and bedlinen changed on a daily basis. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure you were always happy with the service. The hotel was only half full and as such A La Carte service in restaurant most nights. Food was good and well... more

We travelled to the severin sea lodge on 25th june to 10th july 2009 and it was our best holiday ever! Travel Company We flew first choice (england) and had hassle with them as our our flight was delayed 3.5 hours and had a short haul plane for a long haul flight. Also there was no free water on either... more

This was the second time we had visited the hotel, right from the word go we felt as if we were back at home. The check in was quite fast considering the amount of other guests we saw there also for the Easter weekend. We were taken to the comfort room that we had booked and really appreciated that it... more

Even if this is not a disastrous hotel it is pretty obvious that Severin seem to be struggling somewhat with the quality of services and amenities after the post-election crisis in Kenya. It seems they are short of staff and are saving money on various things. Beach is not good. Pool area is very limited and grass is not green,... more

we have just returned from the severin sea lodge and i can say that it was a great holiday. We arrived to blazing heat and ice cold towels to freshen ourselves with. We were allocated the room we asked for,and think it was the best room there,as it was a prime location for the monkeys who came to visit us... more

I stayed at the Severin with my new wife for our honeymoon over the New Year 08/09 for one week. We selected Kenya on the basis of guaranteed winter sun without the prohibitive travel time and cost of the Indian Ocean as we only had one week available for our honeymoon. The Severin was selected due to it's reasonable cost... more

Just got back from Mombasa and had a fantastic holiday. We stayed at the Severin Sea Lodge in Bamburi on the North coast and were very pleased with our choice. We were a bit worried about some of the reviews that said it has gone downhill recently. However as this was our first stay we could not compare. We found... more

We have just returned from the severin sea lodge where we stayed for two weeks. There were five of us and each one of us really loved it. First impressions were not great to be honest, probably due to stress and tiredness I was not at all impressed with our first room which was quite small and had a connecting... more
