We found this restaurant with rooms in the Michelin red guide for Italy and stayed here for one night before leaving for Croatia. It has a large outdoor patio, with covered and uncovered seating. It was very hot, so we left our room (no a/c) and sat outside and read our books, drinking the house white wine (very nice). Dinner... more

I needed a rest from all the craziness of travelling i went to Trieste to relax and thats i did. What an interesting placing with fantastic views it is different from the city part the part where this Locanda is has the mountains the fresh air, history and fantastic walkways and the staff at this family owned business were so... more

I recently travelled to Trieste,Italy and wanted a short trip away from the city.....Locanda Marie came very recommended! In the heart of the mountains i surrounded by serenity and very friendly locals. With an old train station located up on the hills, the train tracks( which will lead you to the next town) turned into a walking trail, i witnessed... more
